Virtual production is more than simply setting up a studio and showcasing the latest technology; it's about the team behind it—their artistic vision, honesty, and skill. I’ve met many who are excited about working in virtual production, but without a truly creative team handling it, the experience risks falling flat and may deter clients from returning. For anyone looking to work in virtual production, be mindful of the team’s creative capabilities and technicalities. Creativity is the foundation of success in virtual production and it makes all the difference in delivering a memorable and inspiring experience. As experts in this field, we must be also transparent about what’s possible and guide clients through the artistic and technical aspects with honesty and flexibility, especially for those new to virtual production. Your insights are valuable; sharing this may benefit others in the industry. #UAEInnovation #VirtualProductionUAE #UAEFilm #DigitalMediaUAE #CreativeUAE

Collaboration in Film Production This pen was a gift from Spyros Boukas, symbolizing the beginning of our first collaborative project together. Thank you, Spyros, for this heartfelt present. At Open Matter Studio, we are honored to work on this endeavor with you. Collaboration in film production goes beyond funding opportunities, it’s about uniting talent, aligning visions, and fostering creativity. For me, finding the perfect match for each project means bringing together diverse mindsets, cultures, genders, and perspectives. It’s about building trust and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and works as equals. In Wiktors and my experience, meeting collaborators in person is crucial. Looking someone in the eye and trusting your gut feeling is the foundation of a strong partnership. This personal connection ensures that everyone is aligned and committed to creating something extraordinary. What’s particularly inspiring about collaboration in the XR industry today is the generosity of its professionals. So many are eager to share insights and expertise selflessly, driven by the shared goal of crafting innovative and impactful experiences. Collaboration isn’t just about avoiding conflicts—it’s about creating the space for creativity to thrive, where each contributor’s unique strengths can shine. Whether it’s finding the perfect spatial audio expert from across the sea, partnering with a 3D team from Europe, or forming a hardware collaboration with a company from the Far East, these partnerships are the building blocks of something greater than the sum of its parts. At the heart of it all is a shared belief in the story and the potential of what we can create together. Let’s continue to build bridges, foster trust, and create groundbreaking work that inspires and connects. #Collaboration #FilmProduction #XR #DiversityInFilm #Networking #OpenMatterStudio #Innovation

As the co-founder of 1987 Masters Inc. | Entertainment Production Company, I've had the privilege of transforming concepts into awe-inspiring live events for over a decade. While creativity fuels our process, the technical expertise required to bring these experiences to life cannot be overstated. Let's pull back the curtain on the meticulous journey from script to screen. Scripting the Experience It begins with a detailed script outlining the event's flow, including timings, transitions, and cues for every element. This document is the blueprint for the entire production team. Technical Design Next, we develop a comprehensive technical design. This includes: Lighting: A lighting plot with precise fixture placement and cueing to create the desired atmosphere and highlight performances. Audio/Visual: A detailed plan for sound and video elements, including equipment placement and content sequencing. Staging: A CAD design of the stage layout, ensuring optimal use of space and clear sightlines. Pre-Production Before the event, we conduct rigorous rehearsals to fine-tune technical cues and timings. This ensures a seamless execution on show day. Showtime With our team of skilled technicians, we bring the script to life. From the first cue to the final bow, every technical element works in harmony to create an immersive experience. Post-Event After the live event, we enter post-production. This involves editing the footage, adding graphics or overlays as needed, and mixing the audio for a polished final product. We then deliver the content in the required format, whether it's for broadcast, social media, or on-demand viewing. The key to success lies in the partnership between the creative visionaries and the technical experts. At 1987 Masters, we pride ourselves on this synergy, allowing us to consistently push the boundaries of live event production. If you have questions about the process, I'm happy to share more insights. #eventproduction #livestreaming #technicalproduction

One major lesson from COVID-19 for the film industry is how vulnerable we are to sudden, global disruptions. The pandemic showed that our world could come to a grinding halt, and filmmaking was one of the hardest-hit sectors. Traditionally, seamless editing and filming require everyone to be on set and in the same location, making it challenging to adapt to remote work and production changes. However, these 5 movie crews were quick to adapt to the changing environment and continue their production. As the movie scene becomes increasingly decentralized, collaboration tools like Quickbyte are taking center stage. Try out Quickbyte today and make an immediate shift into the rapidly evolving world of technology!- https://www.quickbyte.io/

This week, I had the privilege of attending an incredible seminar at PROTO, the North East's leading hub for Virtual production, a groundbreaking blend of tools like motion capture, volume capture, and real-time rendering that is transforming the way we create stories for both screens and campaigns. As someone passionate about storytelling and innovation, I was particularly struck by how these techniques open up a new world of possibilities for directors, filmmakers, and creative consultants. Whether it’s pre-visualising scenes, crafting immersive environments, or streamlining complex productions, virtual production bridges the gap between imagination and execution. For me personally, this was an invaluable opportunity to expand my skill set as a director, enabling me to confidently lead projects that require these advanced workflows. The future of storytelling is here, and I’m excited to be part of it. If you’re interested in how virtual production can elevate your next project, be it a campaign, film, or creative concept—let’s connect and discuss how we can make it happen. #VirtualProduction #Filmmaking #Innovation #Storytelling #PROTO

Designers, artists, game makers, and film producers must anchor their work in genuine, meaningful experiences that resonate on a deeper level. This means moving away from the mass production mindset and instead focusing on the unique value each creator brings.
