The path to trustworthiness includes keeping your word and honoring employees' time. It’s this consistency that ensures teams feel secure and have a sense of stability. It’s also critical to be transparent and set realistic expectations. Overpromising and under-delivering can erode trust by creating uncertainty. Once expectations are set, deliver on your commitments. That's why clean agreements are a critical practice in conscious leadership. They remove ambiguity by clearly defining who's involved and responsible, what the scope and goals are and when milestones must be achieved. Companies experience periods of high tension. And they aren't always negative. Sometimes, they're related to anticipation or deadlines. However, during these high-tension periods, miscommunication, especially from leadership, can be detrimental. During uncertain times, leaders should double down on their communication tactics. If there are industry-wide uncertainties, celebrating success may be inappropriate.
