When things get tough, persistence is key. ☑️ Skill + Heart = Success: Speed alone doesn’t make a champion. Max’s victory was a blend of precision, skill, and passion. In any pursuit, combining expertise with genuine dedication leads to outstanding results. ☑️ Respect for Rivals: The exchange between Max and Lewis Hamilton was a reminder that, no matter how intense the competition, mutual respect and sportsmanship elevate everyone. Lando Norris’s decision underscores a powerful lesson: even in individual sports, the strength of the team is paramount. By prioritizing the team's strategy over personal ambition, Norris exemplified true sportsmanship and the essence of collaboration. In any field, success is often a collective effort, and sometimes, teamwork must come before individual glory. Lando Norris's decision to let Oscar Piastri win at the Hungarian GP is a testament to the importance of teamwork in F1. Despite the temptation to secure a personal victory, Norris understood the bigger picture and the value of team strategy. This move not only highlights his professionalism but also reinforces the idea that even in individual sports, collective success often trumps individual accolades. Kudos to Norris and McLaren for demonstrating such exemplary teamwork! #F1 #grandprix #teamwork #Hungary #McLaren

Olympian Lolo Jones drives the awesome McLaren 600LT in Indianapolis We did this video 5 years ago to promote McLaren Experiences with a great team in Indianapolis. Did it sell a lot of cars? No probably not. Did it sell out all the McLaren track-days? No, they’re kind of sold out anyway. Did it move dials in performance marketing? No, it probably didn’t break any records – with 271k views in 5 years. It was something of a slow burner. But surely not everything is about performance marketing. This was movie made to tell a story about the very human challenge of learning to drive a really really great sports car, really really well. It came at a time when research showed that McLaren was NOT attracting many new-to-the-brand customers and was seen as inaccessible by female sports car buyers. Sometimes a brand should tell a story just because it’s interesting and it’s beautiful. I still remember seeing the smile on Lolo’s face when she finished her hot laps. It was priceless, it was exhilaration, it was joy. It was everything good that McLaren could make you feel. https://lnkd.in/ekbBZB2t

The team known for speed and innovation is ready for its biggest challenge. Red Bull Racing is rewriting the rulebook with the RB21 car. They started strong, but others are catching up. Instead of giving up, Red Bull is tackling the challenge head-on. They focus on precise changes to stay ahead. Here’s the game plan: → Mastering the Upgrade: ↳ Red Bull isn’t just making tweaks. ↳ They’re creating a revolution for the RB21. ↳ Less testing time? Just a hurdle they’re ready to jump over. → Eyeing the Competitors: ↳ McLaren’s surprise rise has upped the stakes. ↳ Red Bull sees this as a call to step up their game. → Champion’s Mindset: ↳ Chief Engineer Paul Monaghan says excuses aren’t allowed. ↳ Winning the Constructors' Championship is the only goal. ↳ They aim to beat any perceived limits. This story is not just about cars. It’s about the drive to push beyond limits. It’s about working smarter, not harder. As Red Bull pushes forward, we wonder: Are we moving or truly advancing? Stay tuned as Red Bull drives towards a future built on ambition and determination.

Fortunes are turning quickly for Lewis Hamilton 🍀 So much so, that I didn’t have time to finish this piece, documenting his 200th podium before he won his 201st.. So here we have; Lewis Hamilton’s 201 podiums visualised. Highlights for me: 🔸17 podiums a season on 5x occasions 🔸He’s won from starting on P14 🔸Podiums achieved from P19, P20 and the pitlane But the standout is that Hamilton has achieved a podium 58% of the time he’s started a race. Incredible stuff and I’m sure many more to come. We now enter the summer break with 10 races to go. ------------ If you enjoyed this post, I'm building 24 data projects on Formula 1 in-line with each of the 24 races on the calendar. The End of an Era for Daniel Ricciardo, But Was It Handled Right? As many of us in the motorsport world know, Daniel Ricciardo has been dropped from the VCARB team, with Liam Lawson stepping in for the remaining six races of the 2024 F1 season. While Ricciardo’s career has been filled with highs and lows, it’s hard not to feel that the decision to replace him mid-season was abrupt. Given Ricciardo’s legacy, with 8 wins, 32 podiums, and an infectious personality, it feels like he deserved the chance to finish the season. It might have been a more graceful exit for a driver who has brought so much passion and excitement to Formula 1. That said, Liam Lawson’s talent is undeniable, and his future looks promising. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in these final races and whether this marks the start of a new era for Red Bull’s development program. What are your thoughts on how this transition was handled? Do you think Ricciardo should have been allowed to finish the season? #F1 #Motorsport #Formula1 #DanielRicciardo #LiamLawson #MotorsportLeadership #RedBull #Racing #MotorsportSafety #MotorsportNews
