Ever looked at another company's merch and thought, "Their merch looks so polished, so sophisticated." Yours can look like that too — it all comes down to design ✏️ In our latest blog, we discuss how you can elevate your merch artwork and make your merch look more sophisticated. But here are some hot tips: 1. Dial down the logo. If it's taking up the whole artwork space, it's probably too big. Keep it smaller, switch up using your text-logo and your icon-logo (if you have one!). 2. Choose one colour. Don't try and incorporate all of your brands' colours into one design. It can get messy and overwhelming. 3. Think quality and usefulness. Are people going to use this? Is this going to last? What material is it made out of? Take a good look at our iconic M-dot logo. What do you actually see? Truly great designs are incredibly simple. Yet creating one is incredibly hard. Obviously when designing the Mistral logo in 1976, our designers succeeded in creating a logo that is extremely simple but instantly recognisable. All this by simply using the basic elements that sum up our brand: blue water, subtle waves forming an M and a vibrant red dot symbolising a setting sun. A perfect picture that captures the sheer feeling of joy when one is out there on the Ocean. Also, great design is timeless. That's why since 1976, the M-Dot logo has barely changed. And the way we see it, it might never change at all. What's your favourite iconic logo? #peopleoftheoceans #mistral #logodesign
