Celebrating ‘Oztober’ at Menulog! 💛 A huge thanks to OzHarvest for joining us at Menulog HQ for a lunch and learn event in celebration of their 20th birthday. While enjoying a delicious meal catered by the OzHarvest team, we heard about the incredible impact the organisation has made to fight food waste and help people in need for the past two decades. It’s more important than ever, with demand up by 75% in the past 6 months alone. The event was made extra special by Menuloggers having the chance to get involved with OzHarvest’s Unite to Feed Australia Live concert, thanks to our staff ticket giveaway! You can get involved too, with tickets still available to the concert - more info here: https://lnkd.in/g-P5qvyu

By my calculation, I shouldn’t be tired... though I still had a great time! Hello, LinkedIn fam! I had the privilege of joining the KARIDAD AID FOUNDATION for a market clean-up, in collaboration with the Sustainable Environment and Health Initiative, Osogbo (SEHIO) and the Ife Central Local Government. For this event, my team and I were tasked with handling the media coverage. I didn’t expect to get tired so quickly, despite not being involved in the actual clean-up efforts. The theme of the event was "Clean Environment: One Community, One Goal," which perfectly encapsulates our collective 'why'. We recognized the need to be part of the solution, not just observers of the problem. Here are a few takeaways from the experience: ✏️ The seemingly small actions we take add up to create the change we desire. ✏️ Inclusivity is key to driving meaningful change—passing blame doesn’t help. ✏️ Giving extends beyond money; the joy and prayers from the market vendors truly warmed my heart. ✏️ I’m passionate about the media space, especially video editing! Together, we can make the world a better place. 🙌🏼 Kudos to the members❤️ PS: This video was edited by me. How is the week going on your end? #karidadaidfoundation #personaldevelopment #cleanup

Christmas is not only a time for sharing gifts but also an opportunity to give back to our communities. One impactful way is by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food sector, particularly those that produce foods and drinks with Geographical Indications (GIs). These products are steeped in tradition and tied to the heritage of specific regions. Here’s why and how you can celebrate Christmas with local flavour while supporting these vital businesses. #SMEOrigin Interreg Europe https://lnkd.in/d4EBbAZq

This is the start of something new and exciting. Could Christchurch become NZs first packaging free city? Maybe, why not. It’s happening in Chch newest co-working space with a twist, focused on fostering a space for where sustainability meets innovation, technology and everything inbetween. It also happens to be the cheapest co-working space in town at $60 a week for hot desking. Also an excellent space for overall, reasonable value events hire at $25, the possibilities are endless. Collaboration needs a space, we have one. Come checkout 231 High street, who knows who’ll you’ll meet and what opportunities it may lead too. Cheesy copy, perhaps. Marketing is a form of art in action.
This wins the award for the best giveaway at CPMA - lots of people walking around sprouting a leaf out of their heads. It doesn’t work as well for the folically challenged folks like myself, but still fun to see creatives at work. One of the many benefits of not working full time is that I get to chose what to support, how to support and how much of my time they get. Promoting a vegan lifestyle is high up on my list - probably joint with raising awareness on Diabetes impact. #veganism #veganlifestyle #volunteeringmatters
Do you want to take part in vegan volunteering around your local area? We've opened up that opportunity here at The Vegan Society! We have an ever-growing Community Network of vegans just like you, who have a passion to volunteer and promote veganism where they live. Every month, our Network choose from a range of outreach tasks. These could include town centre stalls, writing to a councillor or MP, sharing our campaigns on social media or contacting local businesses. You're in control of how much or how little you do. All ready to turn your people into rainbows?🌈 I can feel you all enjoying this festival of colours but I got a complaint. I don't show up for 3 days and no one misses me?🥺 That hurts but anyways, today is Holi and it's a festival where enemies become friends right? So I forgive you all. LOL!!🎨 So back to the point, every year I see people spoiling Holi rather than playing it. → Hurting each other in the cover of colours → Using chemicals to cause harm → Punishing innocent animals for their own sake But this year, let's make it different. → Play with organic colours → Keep animals and pets indoors🐶 → Spread joy, not harm → Take care of yourself and your family Let the colour of this Holi paint a picture of safety, love and joy for everyone.🖼️ Play safe, stay safe. Happy Holi LinkedIn family!🎈 Appendix 1 : How do you celebrate your Holi? Let me know in the comment section. Appendix 2 : This is how I made my friend Aditi filled with Colours 😂 Follow Vivek Raj for more.
