MENA Coalition On Youth, Peace and Security reposted this
📣 #Youth4Peace community, and folks interested in #YPS! 📣 I’m excited to announce the launch of the Youth Peace and Security Database (YPSDB): an online, public resource library of documents related to the YPS agenda! Find it here: https://ypsdb.org/ ✴️ The YPSDB provides a comprehensive set of materials relevant to the YPS agenda at international, national, and local levels as well as across thematic issues. ✴️ The database includes over 390 unique documents. Accounting for documents available in multiple languages, there are just over 600 documents available in total. This includes policy documents, research papers, agreements, and other materials from the United Nations, regional organisations, national governments, NGOs, think tanks, youth-serving civil society organisations, youth-led civil society organisations and researchers. Read more about the database and some launch-day reflections here: https://lnkd.in/g_vyEfhY The database is an outcome of my Australian Research Council (ARC) DECRA Fellowship on youth leadership and the YPS agenda. It exists thanks to the fabulous work of the excellent web designer, Daniel Oakley, who made it easy and was tolerant of my many questions. I am also exceptionally grateful for the initial research assistance work of Richard Fosu, PhD and Hayley Payne, and the more recent research and project assistance of Ingrid Valladares, without whom I could not have brought this together. The YPSDB is comprehensive but not complete. I would very much value your suggestions of missing material or new resources as they are published to build future versions of the YPSDB collaboratively with the community. I hope it is of use to the #YPS practitioner community and interested academics!
Impressive
