I just read a mind-blowing (depending on your perspective) study on the advancements of GPT-4, and I’m blown away by how far AI has come. Did you know that GPT-4 even passed the Turing test, with over half of the participants thinking they were chatting with a real person? 🤯 As someone who’s super passionate about AI, I’m honestly excited about the possibilities. Just think about democratizing access to wellness and personal development coaches. Or AI tutors for low-income families with kids. Imagine having personalized support and encouragement, powered by AI, right at your fingertips and unless it were disclosed, you might not even realize you're chatting with a bot. In Real Estate, I'm seeing the most sophisticated investors use AI not just to analyze deals but to manage conversations with Realtors, Brokers, and Lenders. For some, this probably sounds like Terminator or iRobot starring Will Smith 😂. Most of you might not have even realized that you've talked to an AI Bot recently 🥸. Let that sink in... By the way, if you’re wondering what the Turing test is, here’s a quick rundown: It's a test designed to measure a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. How many times do you think you hit the ‘backspace’ key per day? ⌨️ If you’re like me, you would be totally lost without it (I just used it 5 times to type that one sentence 🤦♂️) The recent ‘Language Model Physics’ paper begs the question “what if AI models could correct their mistakes as they happen?” In other words, what if they had their own ‘backspace’ key? 🤔 The ability for models to catch and correct their mistakes in real-time will significantly improve reasoning capabilities, which is critical in building useful AI applications. OpenAI's next-gen AI model, Orion, isn't living up to expectations. But is this really an AI slowdown? You know how it goes... We hear about these AI breakthroughs, and we think the sky's the limit. But then... reality hits. OpenAI's latest model, Orion, isn't quite the leap forward we expected. It's better, sure, but not DRAMATICALLY so. And in some areas, like coding? It's not consistently outperforming its predecessors. This doesn't necessarily mean AI has hit a wall. It's more like... we're at a crossroads. The easy gains from just throwing more data and computing power at the problem? They might be drying up. But that doesn't mean progress is stopping. Think about it...
