In 2024 I took on my most challenging project yet. The hours are long. The client is demanding. But the joy outweighs it all. Becoming a parent and seeing the world through my child’s eyes has reminded me to bring more joy and play to my work in design. Dopamine and oxytocin can impact our ability to use time productively, think creatively and build better relationships — all while feeling fulfilled. I’d like to share what designers can learn from children at SXSW London next year. Vote for my submission to find out why joy is the magic ingredient to designing better experiences. I love this, so so important 👏🏻 congratulations, I hope you’re settling into this new chapter 🥰
A child’s honesty and unfiltered perspective on the world around them mixed with an unshackled creativity, free from fear would be great to bottle up and sell! Like George’s marvellous medicine.
Wow! Congratulations Melodie - wishing you all the best 😊

1wJoy...a turbocharged version of 'delight' (that 'nice to have' we try and inject into experiences). You'll always get my vote. To quote Bruce " Welcine to the party, pal". BEST. JOB. EVER 🤩
