🤖 What happens if there aren’t enough jobs to go around because of automation and AI advancements? 🏫 Forbes’ Cathy Rubin posed that question to me, Howard Gardner, Nick Bostrom, Andy Hargreaves, and Charles Fadel with an eye toward what it means for education systems. 👻 I emphasized a couple exciting use cases for AI technology, which is often cast as a boogeyman in education contexts: 1️⃣ Supporting teachers to improve their teaching and save time—from helping them lesson plan to creating more personalized learning opportunities to helping them assess student work 2️⃣ Serving as a tutor when there’s not another option.Though not as good as a 1:1 human tutor, it’s more affordable, accessible, scalable, and certainly better than the alternative when there is no tutoring at all. 🤔 Check out the article below and let us know how you’re thinking about how education should change in the age of AI in the comments!
