🌟 Join me in the Fight Against Multiple Myeloma! 🌟 I am participating in a fundraising campaign to support my Mom, along with research and treatment for multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer that affects thousands of people each year. Multiple myeloma can be a devastating diagnosis, but with your help, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by this disease. 🔬 Why This Cause Matters: - Multiple myeloma is the second most common blood cancer. - It affects the plasma cells in the bone marrow, leading to weakened bones, kidney damage, and compromised immune systems. While there have been advancements in treatment, there is still no cure. ✨ How You Can Help: Donate: Every dollar brings us one step closer to a cure. Your contribution, big or small, will directly support cutting-edge research and patient care initiatives. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWXbAWqH Share: Amplify this message by sharing this post with your network. The more people we are able to reach, the greater the impact. 💪 Our Goal: I am aiming to raise $3,000 before September 14th. These funds will be allocated to: - Groundbreaking research projects. - Support programs for patients and their families. - Advocacy efforts to raise awareness and drive policy changes. 🙏 Thank You: Your support means the world to me, my Mom, and to everyone affected by multiple myeloma. This Is Why In 2 hours, the #Pharmaceutucal Coalition for Patient #Access, a #charity directed by an independent board, will argue its appeal in the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, seeking to overturn the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Health and Services refusal to issue an advisory opinion permitting PCPA to offer charitable assistance to needy #Medicare patients fighting #cancer. Mercedes Babka’s analysis of the 227 #charitable disease funds dedicated to addressing the needs of patients with cancer shows why this appeal is so important. Only 36 of those 227 cancer funds are open and available to assist a newly diagnosed cancer patient. That’s just 16.7% of the funds. That’s it. 16.7% of ALL cancer funds are open. 83.3% are CLOSED. Wish us luck. This appeal couldn’t be more important. #oncology #patientsfirst #patientaccess #oig #dotherightthing #medicaldebt #financialtoxicity #financialassistance #accesstocare #premiums #copays #costsharing #coinsurance
