Today is #WorldHungerDay , where we confront the reality that even though the world produces enough food, 733 million people still struggle with hunger. Hunger isn't just about food shortages, it's tied to conflicts, and overall access to healthy, affordable options. At the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force, we are committed to building solutions that work for everyone, from supporting local farmers to ensuring food access for students and vulnerable communities. Healthy food is a right, not a privilege. Together, we can tackle food insecurity by advocating for fair policies, investing in sustainable food systems, and reducing waste. Let's honor World Hunger Day by taking action to create a world where everyone, no matter where they live, has access to the nutritious foods they need to thrive. #idahohunger #nonprofit #advocacy

A healthy meal delivered to someone facing food insecurity can mean better educational outcomes, an improvement in physical and mental health, as well as cost savings from reduced landfill and CO2 emissions. What is hard to value is the dignity of receiving a nutritious, prepared meal. This quarter we really have seen the power of a community coming together to help address food insecurity in New Jersey, food waste and its impact on the environment. Since January, 60 meal donors, including corporations, hospitals and educational institutions, 125 volunteers, and 25 nonprofit partners have joined our ‘meal recovery revolution’ to recover and serve 21,000 prepared meals that would otherwise have gone to waste. But most important of all are the recipients. The 2️⃣1️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ meals have gone to ensure food security amongst the clients of 25 New Jersey nonprofits and 60 families in the Princeton area who have received a healthy, delicious, prepared meal twice a week. Recovering 21,000 meals means that our community has also saved 120,000 lbs of CO2 eq from being released into the atmosphere since the start of the year! #foodrecovery #foodwaste #foodinsecurity #ShareMyMeals #zerowaste #sustainability #newjersey #socialimpact

🌱 **Grants and Farm-to-Table: Combatting Food Deserts with Healthy Choices** 🌱 At Freddie Bell Jones, Inc., we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food, regardless of where they live. As food deserts continue to impact underserved communities, it's critical that we step up and support solutions that bring healthier choices closer to home. Grants play a vital role in advancing farm-to-table initiatives that can combat food insecurity. These funds enable local farmers, nonprofits, and community organizations to develop sustainable systems that deliver fresh produce directly to those who need it most. Through strategic grant writing and partnerships, we can build a healthier future—one that prioritizes local economies, reduces food deserts, and ensures that nutritious options are not a privilege but a right for all. Let’s continue to advocate for food justice and expand access to farm-fresh, healthy choices in every community! 💡 #GrantFunding #FarmToTable #HealthyChoices #FoodJustice #FoodDeserts #FreddieBellJonesInc
