Another great #AllLearningCounts resource released - this one from CAEL and ACE! Lots of work to be done with state and system policies, but also the needle is moving.
I'm happy to share a new release from a partnership that CAEL has had with ACE. After scanning 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico, we developed an inventory of state and system policies on Credit for Prior Learning (CPL). I'm very grateful to the team that worked on this, including Lana Munip, Rachel G. A. Hirsch, Maria Claudia Soler, Ph.D., Erica Swirsky, Kara Seidel, C. Emmanuel Wright, and Emmaline Armstrong, MBA. Our analysis of these policies, along with examples for each of the themes, is available in a new policy brief, The National Landscape of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL): Effective State and System Policies for Success and Equity. But even more exciting is an interactive database with filters for state, policy theme, and the source of the policy (e.g., legislation, state administrative code, etc.).
