#Salesforce in Talks to Acquire #Informatica - Can not agree more to the #SalesforceBen article: “AI + CRM + Data” is the Salesforce Slogan of the year - you need a tool that is capable to do heavy data loads from one system to the other. The ETL capability would supplement the Salesforce product portfolio in a great way and speed up the growth and adoption of AI in the CRM ecosystem. Migration and integration in enterprise projects is most time consuming and complex. With #MuleSoft as an integration platform, Salesforce has already a game changer in the world of API`s, but MuleSoft is not designed to process massive amounts of data. Also, Data Loader is not suitable for huge enterprise migration projects as it is only providing some basic import/export/delete functionalities. Salesforce are in advanced talks to acquire data giants, Informatica to advance their Data capabilities, an acquisition estimated at $11b. What does this mean? #Salesforce can leverage #Informatica's Data Integration, Data Quality and Data Management capabilities to enable seamless Data Integration/Governance and offer more comprehensive Data Management capabilities. #MuleSoft could see major improvements by leveraging #Informatica's Data Management solutions, enabling MuleSoft to offer more efficient and seamless data integrations. With Data and AI being hot topics this year, combining Salesforce, Tableau and Informatica, could make them a #Data and #AI powerhouse Amidst the growing importance of Data and AI, the integration of #Salesforce, #Tableau, and #Informatica has the potential to establish them as a formidable force in the realm of data-driven solutions #Salesforce have invested heavily in developing #DataCloud and their Data Analytics offerings by acquiring #Tableau in 2019, this could be a huge opportunity to develop Salesforce's Data Cloud. Overall, I think it could be a huge opportunity for #Salesforce to enhance its data capabilities, drive synergies with products like #Tableau, #Data Cloud and #MuleSoft, and empower leaders to make more informed, data-driven decisions with ease. Also, it would be a huge addition to the Salesforce Eco-system, especially if Consulting Partners begin to pivot their offerings around Informatica/Data solutions. With the combination of 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭, 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝, 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 capabilities, we can implement a data mesh ecosystem with Salesforce. I’ve created this functional architecture, and how these different Salesforce solutions will interact. 📌 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 would act as the data platform separated by data spaces to allow different domain teams to work independently from each other. The permission set mapped to the data space defines the level of access for the users. ✅𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔: Domain ownership, data as a product, federated governance ✅𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅: Data Spaces (domain), Data Streams (input port), Data Lake Object (input port), Data Model Objects (data product), Object & Schemas (definitions), permission set (access) 📌 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 will be serving the needs for input ports ingesting data from transactional systems (i.e. SAP, M365, Databases, etc.) as well as for output ports serving the end users to consume data using different interfaces (i.e. txt, csv, streaming, etc.). ✅𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔: Data as a product, federated governance, self-service ✅𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅: Data Cloud Connector (input & output port), Mule Apps (serving data streams), API Designer fragments (schema definition), API Policies (policies), Monitoring (usage) 📌 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 will represent the self-service platform for data producers to publish their products and for data consumers to search, discover, subscribe, and use existing data products & assets.
