This arrangement provides NTH with financial flexibility while allowing Fiera Comox to access timberland sustainably. Jeff Zweig, from Fiera Comox, emphasizes the importance of understanding Indigenous connections to land and aligning values with economic interests. Estonia's forestry and wood sector generated €1.15 billion in tax revenue in 2022. Additionally, this sector supports over 57,000 jobs and contributes €3.6 billion in added value to the economy. EY Estonia, in collaboration with the Estonian Forest and Wood Industries Association, has analyzed the socio-economic role of the forestry and wood sector in Estonia's economy since 2019. The report offers insights based on data from 2022. This time, we focused on the local valorization of wood. Navigator is the most sustainable company in the forestry sector worldwide, ranking 1st in the Paper & Forestry industry cluster in the ESG Risk Rating 2024 by Sustainalytics. With an overall score of 11.6 as of July 12, the Company is on the lower fringes of the “low” risk level.
