Unlike what it may be perceived as a basic medical sense, practicing Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) is not easy. It requires using an integrated triad of: 1. Clinical expertise 2. Retrieval of the relevant evidence 3. Consideration of the patient values and preferences at the time where shared decision making is critical However, presence of the integrated triad is the base but it cannot solely make the medical practice evident, unless it undergoes a series of sequential steps that help drawing a conclusion. These steps are: I. Identifying the questions to be answered II. Retrieval of the relevant evidence III. Critically appraising the retrieved evidences IV. Confirm evidence applicability V. Draw a conclusion & evaluate
