On-premise vs. Cloud: I was recently stuck on a problem statement and stumbled upon this podcast by Arpit Bhayani, featuring Subhash Choudhary .. (CTO, Dukaan). Their transition to bare-metal infrastructure really fascinated me! It got me thinking—are we too dependent on cloud when on-premise/physical servers offer such performance and cost benefits? In my view, on-premise can be a great fit for large enterprises too. That said, the trade-off seems to be responsibility—on-premise requires more in-house expertise for maintenance, scaling, and security, whereas cloud providers handle most of this. 💭 What do you think?
