COMMON SENSE IS NOT A GIFT, IT'S A PUNISHMENT. BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE IT. Common sense is a fundamental aspect of human cognition that enables individuals to make sound judgments and decisions in various situations. It is often regarded as an innate ability, yet it can also be developed through experience and exposure to different environments and cultures. However, the presence of common sense is not always a blessing; rather, it can sometimes be seen as a challenge. Dealing with individuals who lack common sense can be quite demanding and frustrating. These people may struggle to comprehend simple concepts, make illogical choices, and exhibit behaviors that defy rationality. As a result, those possessing common sense often find themselves in situations where they must navigate through complexities created by the actions and decisions of those who do not share this cognitive ability. In professional settings, such as workplaces or social gatherings, individuals without common sense can hinder productivity, create conflicts, and disrupt harmony among colleagues or groups. This can lead to increased stress levels for those who possess common sense as they attempt to manage these challenges while maintaining their composure and focus on their tasks or goals. In conclusion, while common sense is undoubtedly an essential asset for effective communication and problem-solving, it also presents its own set of challenges when interacting with those who lack this critical cognitive ability. Individuals possessing common sense must exercise patience, empathy, and effective communication skills when dealing with such situations to maintain positive relationships and foster collaboration within diverse environments. CHALLENGING BELIEFS There's a misconception that we always need to "change someone's beliefs" when they have pain. Often if we work through some helpful strategies for self-management, clients can explore beliefs in the process themselves. The aim is to help make sense of their experience, bringing pieces of their puzzle together. Perhaps the focus can be on self-efficacy, resilience and value-driven goal setting. Not "challenging" their beliefs.

Insider Tips from our President Liliana Anchekova
The Power of Confidence At times, we might find ourselves lacking confidence, questioning our capabilities unnecessarily. ⠀ Interestingly, possessing confidence, and even a touch of overconfidence, can yield positive outcomes. ⠀ Research indicates that confident individuals are often viewed as more skilled. Maintaining an optimistic outlook on the future is beneficial for psychological well-being. ⠀ However, overconfidence doesn't always lead to wise choices. ⠀ The optimal strategy involves suspending overconfidence during the decision-making process — keeping ourselves “well calibrated” with reality — while also understanding that embracing a positive illusion can be advantageous once a decision is made, aiding in its execution. ⠀ It's crucial to remember that sometimes, the worst course of action is indecision.

Humans are incredibly resilient and are endowed with a tremendous amount of individual potential. With the right processes to cultivate that innate potential, people can overcome their fears and previously held limiting beliefs to attain higher levels of success than imagined before. Cultivating potential is a process that empowers each individual to live and perform at their highest level by overcoming internal barriers to success, such as a limited mindset, poor emotional resilience, and lack of self-efficacy. https://lnkd.in/esaWwF8y #appletongreene #appletongreenandco #certifiedexcellence #accreditedassociatelearning #accreditedexecutivelearning #accreditedseniorlearning #businessconsultants #businesstrainings #professionaltrainings

Hello everyone, today, I aim to explore the reasons behind why certain individuals tend to focus on problems while others consistently demonstrate an ability to identify solutions. Furthermore, I seek to examine the factors contributing to the universal respect and admiration received by some, juxtaposed with the challenges faced by others in gaining similar levels of acceptance. The pivotal determinant in these scenarios is the concept of an individual's "attitude window" – the lens through which we perceive the world. The clarity of our attitude window significantly influences our outlook. When clouded with negativity, it can lead us to adopt a pessimistic mindset and fixate on adverse aspects. While we are inherently equipped with a clear attitude window, it is susceptible to being clouded over time by negative environmental and societal influences. For those pursuing success, it is imperative to undertake the initial step of clearing one's attitude window to discern the opportunities that may have previously evaded notice.
