Mayer Brown Ltd’s Post

A Foul Sewage Treatment Works in Oxfordshire was in the news this week for failing to comply with its EA permit in relation to storm overflows, and the impact this was having on proposed developments in the area. One of the most significant factors in the capacity challenges for foul drainage infrastructure is combined systems, or surface water discharging to foul systems. This seems to be commonplace in the news, and demonstrates the importance of separate surface and foul drainage systems, and or meaningful sustainable drainage systems (#SuDS), which ironically enough is mostly achieved through….. new development! Rainwater Harvesting systems like the one Mayer Brown took from Feasibility through to Implementation at Clear Lake could be the future! https://lnkd.in/ej67HXbb
