🚨PRICE BOOKS IN HUBSPOT🚨
Finally getting a full chance to show you the at-launch capabilities of quote•hapily Price Books for native HubSpot Quoting.
🚀At launch: Use price books to enforce what products from your HubSpot Product Library can be sold under whatever circumstances you want. If you are a team with multiple products at different prices trying to fake a price book and all you can do is shove them into folders and hope for the best, now you don't have to. Adding the right products to the price book catalog makes sure your team can only sell what they should be able to sell under any circumstances you can imagine. Combine these with quote rules and your reps won't even have to guess any more.
⏲️COMING SOON: Pricing Rules for Price Books. More on this soon ;)
Hey everybody, how you doing? It's Max, Chief Evangelist over here at Happily. And today I'm gonna be showing you the Price Books functionality that we're bringing to native HubSpot quoting with our new app quote Happily. So let's go ahead and dive into it and I'll show you how it works. All right, so right now we're looking at the Price Books section of the Quote Happily admin panel. Again, remember, you're only coming into this panel if you're an admin regular old reps inside of HubSpot won't ever have to leave HubSpot. They'll get all their Price books inside of there. But this is where you'd come as an admin just to set up the price books that your team would ultimately use right now, Right now, I have this sort of default price book that I've set up that just has basically all of my products in it, right? But let's say I wanted to do something, for example, like make a price book that was specifically for one company that we had, right? So anytime we're selling to one company, that price book is set by default. And the products inside of those price books are the only products that that Rep can actually sell to when they're creating a deal for that. Specific company. So what I'm going to do in this case is I'm going to go ahead and hit create new price book and I'm going to build a price book for HubSpot, right? So we'll just call this HubSpot Pricebook. And we'll give it a description of the price book. Four HubSpot. Very descriptive on I guess price book is 2 words. So we'll go ahead. Not Rice, Duke Rice book. There we go. So let's go ahead and hit save. And what we're going to do here is we're going to add the products that are actually available in this Price Book right now. You can think of this in a couple of different ways. Right at launch, the the functionality of Price Books really, really helps you make sure that people are only seeing what they're allowed to sell in certain circumstances. One thing I want to show you though, is that we have a new price rules feature coming for Price Books to really put the price in Price Books that's coming shortly after launch. What this is going to allow you to do is dynamically change the price of your products without having to create multiple products with different prices, right? So for folks that are currently doing that, where you have multiple products with different prices and you're probably just stuffing them in folders. What this would allow you to do in the interim before you release pricing rules is you'll at least be able to make sure that only the products with those specific prices are sitting in the price books that they should show up in. So the team is only seeing the products they should be able to sell. For that given situation at the correct price. Now what I'm gonna do here is I'm gonna go ahead and add products to our price book here. So let's go ahead and hit add products. And I'm only going to want to be able to sell small, medium and large objects in this price book. I don't want any of these other products showing up when someone is selling to HubSpot in this case, right? So I'm going to go ahead and hit add. And we have our products in the price book. And then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna just go back here. And then we're gonna go into HubSpot. And now we have a deal for HubSpot right here. And what we're going to do is I'm going to create a new quote. And when the quote builder comes up, I don't have a rule right now dictating which price book should be used here. Notice that I have to actually select which price book I want to use, right? Again, that's because they haven't dictated a rule. There are price books. Presence, so it wants me to choose one. What I'm gonna do actually is I'm gonna come out of here and I'm gonna actually use quote rules, which we talked about the other day to automatically set a price book. So I'm going to go create a new rule and I'm going to call this use HubSpot price book. And then I'm going to come down here, I'm going to select a variable. I'm going to say when the company's name. Is. HubSpot, the outcome of this rule is going to be setting a price book, and the price book I'm going to select obviously is the HubSpot Rice book. I'm going to set that role priority to one. I'm going to turn it on and I'm going to hit save. OK, So now what's going to happen is when someone goes and sells something to HubSpot, it's going to enforce the use of this specific price book, right? So if you have price books for different companies and you want to make sure that price book is the one that's used, you can do that. You could also build a rule that says depending on the team that the user is on enforces specific price book. So if you have multiple teams in multiple business units and you want to make sure that they can only see the products that they're supposed to be able to sell, this solves for that, right? You're not just stuffing stuff in folders and hoping for the best, right? So let's come back into HubSpot here and let's go create a new quote. And what you'll notice right away is that down here, the price book is set and it's locked. Because of that rule, because this deal meets the ruler, this quote meets the rule that we set that enforces which price book it should be using. They don't have to go in and select it. It's just automatically set up for them and they're saving time. Now, on top of that, when you have price books set up on these quotes, what you'll notice is that when you go and select products from your product library, you're only seeing the products that you're allowed to sell when this price book is active, right? So I can come in here and I can add my medium, small, and large objects, and there you go. Now when we release pricing rules, what's gonna happen is these products are automatically gonna have their prices adjusted based on the pricing rules that you set up within the price book. And that's how you use price books in HubSpot using quote happily and you know, it was built happily.

Greetings LinkedIn Network, 📚
In my quest for knowledge and mastery, I’ve come across some incredible resources that are shaping my approach to content creation and strategy. Here are a few that stand out:
- Contagious: How to Build Word of Mouth in the Digital Age" by Jonah Berger:A brilliant guide to understanding what makes content shareable and engaging.
- HubSpot Academy Courses:Free and insightful courses that cover everything from content marketing to SEO.
- Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die" by Chip Heath and Dan Heath:** This book explores the elements that make ideas unforgettable.
I’d love to expand my resource list. What are your go-to resources for learning and inspiration? Drop your recommendations below
When I first starting creating HubSpot content here 922 days ago, I could never have imagined how much it would impact my life and now my own business.
I’m both nervous, and very excited to be opening up group content coaching (30 spots max) on the strategies, processes, and frameworks that I implemented myself.
*If you’re a HubSpot partner or solo consultant this is designed for you
The strategies that allowed me to cut through the noise and build relationships across the HubSpot ecosystem to drive referrals and introductions.
The same strategies that took me from 700 to 11k followers and from 0 to 160k impressions a month.
The reality is though, those metrics are mostly vanity - especially if you run a service business and want to close high value clients.
What you really need is resonance and authority with the right people, and a content system that allows you to stay top of mind as their trusted resource for the problems you solve.
That’s what we’ll be digging into in January.
Here’s the high level of what we'll cover:
Week 1 - Positioning Your HubSpot Expertise
Week 2 - Building an efficient content system (workflows, templates, and prompts included)
Week 3 - Meeting your ideal clients where they are with strategic content distribution
Week 4 - Social selling from content engagement (conversations > traffic)
What you get:
- 4 live weekly sessions starting January 9th 2025
- Direct feedback on your content strategy and drafts
- The templates, frameworks, and playbooks I use every day
- 1:1 async support
p.s. No website yet, reach out and I can send the full curriculum / agenda)

I’ve Been Helping Local Businesses Score Leads with Blog Content.
Take this example: I wrote a blog post about getting permits to rewire the whole house. It’s not a mainstream topic, but it’s something homeowners need to know when they’re ready to rewire.
By addressing this specific need, I’m not just creating content—I’m offering value.
When you pair that blog post with a clear CTA, like how your company can help with those permits, you’re not just informing—you’re turning interest into leads.
This approach isn’t just for e-commerce or SaaS.
Service-based businesses can do this too.
Focus on the pain points of your potential clients and their doubts.
Create content that meets them where they are in their journey and shows how you can solve their problems.
It’s not just about posting content—it’s about posting the right content that turns curiosity into clients.
