Well done, University of Washington and HCLTech !
Max Boedder, wonderful to see that you found the Seminar worthwhile. It was indeed an interesting event with a well thought out agenda! Thanks for sharing your feedback.
🎉 Thrilled to announce our new paper "Shedding Light on Large Generative Networks: Estimating Epistemic Uncertainty in Diffusion Models" accepted at the 40th Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence #UAI! 🚀 A huge shoutout and merits to ** Lucas Berry ** and David Meger for the hard work!

Dive into what we've tackled: Generative diffusion models are impressive with their >100 million params, operating in vast image spaces. Traditional uncertainty estimates and managing struggle here due to sheer scale. 🤯
🔍 Our approach?
We introduced DECU (Diffusion Ensembles for Capturing Uncertainty), a framework that efficiently trains ensembles of diffusion models using Epistemic uncertainty. This method cuts down the compute load and the number of parameters needing to training #deepensembles.
Plus, DECU uses PaiDEs (Pairwise-Distance Estimators) to finely manage #Epistemic uncertainty to improve itself. Our results on ImageNet have been enlightening, particularly for under-sampled image categories. 🌟 #Ensembles#Diffusion

Runtime Monitoring of Human-centric Requirements in Machine Learning Components: A Model-driven Engineering Approach
🔍 Presenting insights from Hira Naveed's #PhD research on enhancing trust in #machinelearning (ML) systems. As ML integration continues, the significance of ethical considerations like fairness, privacy, and transparency grows.
Her research focuses on runtime monitoring, proposing a novel approach to ensure ML systems meet diverse human-centric requirements. Leveraging model-driven engineering, we aim to comprehensively monitor ML components, enhancing trust and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Today's Problem: Majority Element II
Problem Statement: Find all elements appearing more than ⌊ n/3 ⌋ times in an array.
My Approach: Implemented Boyer-Moore Voting Algorithm for O(1) space solution
Complexity:
Time: O(n)
Space: O(1)
Today's Learning: Voting algorithms can solve frequency problems efficiently!
