To protect guests on their property, landowners are responsible for having a system in place to control the risk from trees. Landowners have a duty of care to do all that is reasonably practical to ensure that people are not exposed to a risk to their health and safety. This can be fulfilled by having a system in place to control the risk from trees. A tree risk management system comprises of: 🔹A policy that details how the landowner will approach the management of tree-related risk 🔹A zoning plan to inform decision-making for tree surveys 🔹A tree survey to assess the trees and determine the level of risk 🔹A mitigation plan to reduce any risk to as low as reasonably practicable Both Nick and Steve have specialist qualifications in tree risk management (ISA TRAQ, Lantra PTI and VALID). These qualifications and experience enable them to provide landowners with a bespoke policy document, scaled to the size and needs of the estate. This is a highly cost-effective solution, following best practice guidelines while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. We can undertake each stage of the system except for physically completing tree works and have an excellent network of highly skilled and reliable contractors that we’d happily recommend to undertake these works. A certified arborist can identify problems that may not be obvious to homeowners without tree risk management and safety knowledge. Arborists check for weakened branches, inspect for root systems and uncover other hidden issues before they cause tree failure. https://lnkd.in/eMjUswy5

In a field where risks are as varied as the trees we care for, the depth of a company's risk assessment can say a lot about its dedication to safety and professionalism. At Sharps Tree Services Ltd, we've taken this to heart, crafting a risk assessment that's not just a document, but a comprehensive safety blueprint. Beyond the Norm While it's common to see risk assessments spanning 1 to 10 pages, ours extends over 130 pages - and continues to grow. Each year, we meticulously refine our approach, integrating new insights and adapting to changes, ensuring every potential risk is accounted for. Why This Matters Our in-depth risk assessment underscores our commitment to not just meeting, but exceeding industry standards. Using the Kansas Wildfire Risk Assessment Portal, you can enter your address or zoom into a location on the map to get an assessment of the likelihood of a wildfire for that location.
