I spoke with a Head of RevOps recently and walked through how we see it here at Digital BIAS. He was shocked when I explained that we don't believe #revops is the answer for tech firms if you aren't shipping user data back into the CRM to understand appropriately how segments use your product. Tech and processes are great for alignment, user data is how you understand who you should be targeting and what messaging you should be using. So for me, RevOps is ONLY 3/4 of the solution. You CANNOT win without product user data. #saas #fintech

Great #SaaS companies recognise the power their solution and services partners bring. Not just selling licenses but their key strength of adding value to their customers with their offering. These companies integrate their partners into the relevant customer facing teams and encourage them to work together. These great companies work hard on ensuring there is alignment with their partners on what customer success is and have a culture of opening their base to partners who add value. They have worked out early when working with the right partners they can retain, renew, and grow their customers. With trust being the new data as #nearbound talks about, aligned partners have the front row seat to new opportunities but more importantly the ability together with the vendor to ensure happy and successful customers. These great SaaS companies have recognised the value solution and services partners bring. They have the ability to become the moat around the company. As we have seen how integrations/API's enable a product to become a platform, we will start to see how solution and services partners enable companies to transition from a product to the full solution the customer envisioned.

It's week thirty-two of 2% Better 💪 , the series where I highlight an operational improvement my team is implementing that's not world-changing but gives us a meaningful small efficiency gain. This week: finding small ways to personalize at scale! 📓 Summary: We send a lot of transactional emails to nudge users to take various actions. We just improved one of these emails to link specific support resources dynamically based on the audience. 🌀 Background: We send thousands of emails to users to set up new integrations with our product. For many integrations, there are specific setup directions. Up until recently, our emails included generic directions. Starting this week, we're now sending specific setup directions for the particular integration type in the email. This was done in an operationalized manner, thanks to my amazing eng colleague, ASHLEY GAU! Likewise, our team can easily add setup instructions for new integrations moving forward without having to ask our eng team for help :P 📈 Impact: Sending more specific information helps users set things up more quickly and will hopefully reduce the drop-off rate. And doing it in an operationalized manner means we can keep it efficient moving forward!
