👏A huge thank you to First Stop Health!🙌 As a mom of three small kids, it never fails that someone needs some type of care while we are traveling. Am I right Jonathan Ter Meer?! 🤣 Today, while enjoying some time on Martha’s Vineyard with my family, my daughter woke up with excruciating ear pain, which turned out to be swimmer's ear. Thanks to First Stop Health, we didn't have to head to the ER or even change out of our PJs. 💤 We connected with a doctor within minutes, even on a Sunday morning, and they called in a prescription to the closest pharmacy to our beach rental. ❤️Thanks to FSH for putting the smile back on my sweet girl's face and for always being there when we need you! 🌟 If you’re interested in learning how to provide this type of amazing care and benefit to your clients and employees- let’s chat! 🤝 #VirtualCare #FirstStopHealth #GratefulMom #UrgentCare #Telemedicine 👏 Bryce Breen Elena Gambon J. Let medicine safety be a priority this summer! ☀️ It's easy to lose track of things when everyone is having fun under the sun. However, you must continue to ensure your elderly family member's health and safety by helping them with their medications. Taking medications during the summer can be more troublesome due to the heat and humidity. Help your senior loved ones take their medications properly and safely so they can have a great summer experience to remember 💜 Follow us for more tips on summer safety for seniors 👉 #GraceLiving #SeniorLiving #ElderlyCare #ElderCare #SeniorCare #SeniorHealth #HealthyAging #SummerSafety #SummerSafetyTips #SeniorSafety #MedicationSafety #SeniorMedicine #SummerMedicationSafety #MedicineSafety

I made my grandma fall ON PURPOSE. 🤕 When my grandma reached a certain age, I'd encourage her to "fall" when I was there visiting. 👵🏼 She would get down on the ground, roll to her stomach, then push up with her hands and knees. 🖐🏼 Next she would practice crawling to the nearest chair and using her arms to pull up on the seat until she could get her feet beneath her. 💺 Practicing "uprighting" with elderly increases strength and flexibility. Perhaps most importantly, it provides peace of mind to family members and the elderly themselves. If they fall when nobody is around, they'll have the knowledge, strength, and coordination to get up. ❤️ If an elderly person can no longer get up on their own, they're probably ready for assisted living. 🏠 __________ 💡 Wouldn't it be great if long term care facilities prioritized resources for things like this? 🤔 What are some other SIMPLE ways we can manage care proactively? (I know, loaded question.) #healthcare #preventivecare #uprighting #elderlycare #LTC

On Child Health Day, we’re reminded that the health of our children is the foundation of a strong future. As parents, we want the best for our kids - whether it’s nutritious meals, plenty of playtime, or sufficient sleep. We celebrate the importance of healthy environments for our little ones. Let’s prioritize their well-being by ensuring they have the best air quality possible while also enhancing efficiency in our homes, buildings, and surroundings. Together, we can create healthier environments where our children can thrive! What’s one step you can take today to support your child’s health? To learn more about enhancing indoor air quality, check out this case study we did on Nemours Children Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and how it improved overall quality: https://lnkd.in/gbmq6vXi #childhealthday #indoorairquality #buildingsefficiency

The Conversation Project began 2010, when Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Ellen Goodman and a group of colleagues and concerned media, clergy, and medical professionals gathered to share stories of “good deaths” and “hard deaths” within their own circle of loved ones. While 92% of Americans say it’s important to discuss their wishes for end-of-life care, only 32% have had such a conversation. 95% of Americans say they would be willing to talk about their wishes, and 53% even say they’d be relieved to discuss it. The Conversation Project believe's that the place for this to begin is at the kitchen table—not in the intensive care unit—with the people who matter most to us, before it’s too late.
