This has been a "foot on the gas" year for Axicom—a year filled with invention, creativity, hustle, relationship-building, and hard work. There’s no better way to finish 2024 than by spending time with our team in Mexico City, which perfectly embodies that spirit. I left feeling inspired by our work across the technology, mobility, telecommunications, and consumer sectors. And I’m especially inspired by the heart, curiosity, and ambition that drives the team, led by Mariana Tuis. And don’t get me started on the food and history. Mexico City, you’ve not seen the last of me! Here’s to rolling up our sleeves and making 2025 a stellar year. Hat tip to you, Ricardo Cesar, for your leadership.

True leadership thrives on a mosaic of perspectives. Cultivate a team that dares to challenge you, for it is in the friction of diverse ideas that the spark of innovation is born. Embrace dissent not as opposition, but as the heartbeat of growth and progress.

Priorities change, so does need. Today's generation do not NEED a job, their basics are taken care of, they look for creating an identity for themselves, they look for appreciation and accolades so they are not comfortable in what they term as Toxic Culture. Leaders must understand this and accordingly take the team forward. PC: creatives from Dora Vanourek

In the world of business and leadership, this dialogue rings true. When you have a clear vision, relentless passion, and a strong belief in your goals, the universe often aligns in ways you never imagined. Whether it's finding the right team, securing that dream partnership, or overcoming market challenges, things start falling into place when you're truly committed to your purpose. But remember, success isn’t just about waiting for the universe to work its magic. It's about putting in the hard work, staying focused, and being adaptable through the ups and downs. So, keep dreaming big, work relentlessly towards your goals, and trust the process. The universe is always listening.

The secret to a motivated team? A higher goal. People don't work for companies. They work for missions. And the most successful leaders are those who have a mission that inspires their people. It's not just about the product or the service that you offer. It's about the change that you're trying to make in the world. That's what the best teams are driven by. So, if you want to keep your team motivated, give them a higher goal to work towards. Make them feel like they're a part of something bigger. Because they are.

As your leaders continue to grow and evolve, you will inevitably experience change. Leaders come and go, roles shift, and the dynamics of your groups are in constant flux. This is simply the nature of working together and developing together as a unit. Just as the quote says, "People lose people, we lose things in our life as we're constantly growing and changing. That's what life is - is change, and a lot of that is loss." This applies to our team as well. We lose colleagues, we lose familiar ways of doing things, and we lose the comfort of the status quo. However, it is from this loss that we gain new perspectives, new skills, and new opportunities. The discomfort of change pushes us to adapt, innovate, and become stronger as a team. We may lose some things, but we gain so much more in the process. Rather than viewing these changes as purely negative, let's embrace them as a chance to grow together. The tumult of life and work is what makes the journey meaningful. It's up to us to focus on what we can gain, rather than dwell on what we've lost. By doing so, we can make the most of the evolution of our team.

A great team can significantly amplify success by bringing together diverse talents, perspectives, and strengths. When individuals complement each other, they create synergy that leads to innovative solutions and higher performance. Moreover, surrounding yourself with people who are smarter or more skilled in certain areas is a powerful strategy. It pushes the boundaries of collective knowledge, drives growth, and creates an environment of continuous learning. Leaders who embrace this mindset cultivate a team that is not only efficient but also resilient and forward-thinking, capable of tackling even the most complex challenges.

Leading a New Team !!! Are you in charge of a new team? These are 6 tips to have impact immediately: 1. Talk Less, Listen More ↳ Listening = Respect. ↳ Ask. Invite. Understand. 2. Connect, Then Direct ↳ Know them. Then lead. ↳ Relationships before results. 3. Learn All You Can ↳ Go beyond resumes. ↳ Discover their drivers. 4. Welcome New Ideas ↳ Celebrate creativity. ↳ It's fuel for innovation. 5. Get Them On Board ↳ Share the "why." ↳ Buy-in = Commitment. 6. Trust, But Verify ↳ Empower, but check. ↳ Balance is key. Listen, connect, learn, innovate, align, and guide. That's leadership.

The status quo has a very strong gravity. The "vision" might be large and ambitious, but how do you ensure that you have buy in? How do you detect the presence of and impetus to maintain the status quo? The visionary most likely won't execute the vision. Those implementing the vision will feel the pull of the familiar and may overtly or covertly sabotage your plan. How do you avoid sabotage and succeed in the old contextual gravity? Create a new team, with new leadership, and all new people that have no dog bed of the familiar to return to. If you use the same old people you'll probably get the same old result.
