We hope you are staying safe and warm this week! As we all face the challenges of the extreme cold weather, we ask you to consider supporting our men with essential warm clothing. To make things easy, we've created an Amazon list detailing our specific clothing needs as of today. Amazon List: https://lnkd.in/esQs53ZU Your generosity will directly enhance the well-being and comfort of the men we serve, many of whom work outdoors or must navigate the elements for work, doctor's appointments, and other necessary trips. Alternatively, you can consider a monetary donation. For $85, you can provide a man with long underwear, a winter hat, gloves and a hoodie. Your support helps ensure our guys have the warmth and protection needed during a challenging season -- give here: https://lnkd.in/eeRrV-97

Are you FORGETTING these 2 persuasive signals? Around 11 am yesterday… A young guy and an old man showed up at my doorstep. Both were wearing a cop uniform. First thought in my mind? “Why are they here? Could be something official” They handed me this official-looking register. And asked me to add my name and signature. Their tonality was “firm and certain”. No upward inflection at the end. I asked them… What’s this about? They said... We’re from this charitable group for orphaned kids. And we’re looking for donations. Now my mind goes they might not even be real cops. It might just be a play of persuasion for building AUTHORITY. And I was right… they weren’t cops. But I still donated. Because… It was for orphaned kids. And I liked their “act of authority”. I am sharing this with you… Because we often forget the PERSUASIVE impact of these 2 things: 1.) How we are LOOKING 2.) How’s our TONALITY Don’t believe me? Walk into a room of strangers wearing a well-fitted suit. And walk into a room wearing a loosely fitted t-shirt and shorts. You will be perceived and treated DIFFERENTLY. Speak with CERTAINTY when you’re sharing your process on the discovery calls. And then try speaking with UNCERTAINTY on a few calls. In the latter case… you won’t be signing many clients. We can say PERCEPTION doesn’t matter. But in reality, it kinda does. Even if we consciously don’t care about it. Our subconscious does. Reflect on this. And then make your own choice... how you want to show up and speak. That’s it for today. Take care! Signing off... NP

Are you in need of real world advice when it comes to a personal clear out? In my business, Comhla, we’ve found the biggest pain point for customers is how to responsibly move on clothes and shoes they no longer need. They’ve heard the zero to landfill messages. They’ve seen images of mountains of clothes piling up in other countries, dumped rather than sold on or reused. They are *beginning* to reduce their personal consumption and turn to repair and preloved as part of their personal behaviours. But, real life practical issues are forefront of mind when it comes to clearing out the overwhelming amount of ‘stuff’ we have in our, and our families, wardrobes. Comments such as these are really common: - there’s a lot of life left in it, I’d like it to go to someone that needs it - I paid a lot for it, I’d like to get a bit back for it - it‘s really good quality, but I don’t use it anymore, I’d like it to get used - it‘s only good for rags really but I’d rather not put it in the bin, can it be recycled - I find big resale sites like Vinted overwhelming, where else do you recommend - I’m not sure if this can even be mended, what do you think? So, we are doing a big push on the Tips and Recommendations content over the coming weeks. Share, Save, Follow along and feel free to add your own recommendations. Let’s share the love, it’s Valentine’s after all 😍
Comhla customers often ask us what to do with clothes and shoes they no longer want or need. It seems the hardest part of having a clear out is figuring out what to do with ‘stuff’. For the first post of of our Tips Series, it’s kids shoes. If they are grown out and not worn out, look up Sal’s Shoes - distributing preloved kids shoes to children around the world. Over 5 million in fact, to 61 countries. Step 1 - clean them up Step 2 - pack them up, with a note if you like Step 3 - post them Step 4 - donate £1 per pair to help with logistics Address: Storage King, Enterprise Way, Edenbridge, TN8 6HF Save this post for future reference and follow this page for more tips coming.

Value(s) what you really care about or value doesn’t matter u less the other person/people around you Value ut as well. Story time. I took roughly $10-$15 K in clothes and bags (Loro Piana, Tumi, Ecco) most of it brand new into some shops to have them sold. The first spot took most of it and will take it to a cleaners and sell it over time but they didn’t take bags. So they sent me 1.5 miles away in Seattle- these bags together value almost 2 grand. What did they offer me? $22 😮 It just shows that what one person values, another person doesn’t. It doesn’t matter if it is material or not. Find alignment in what it is that you value and you’ll find the experiences you desire. Story update- I took the $22 and donated a couple grand worth of items today to a place that supports non profits. (Anyone who might be in the flipping business, those bags and shoes are at crossroads on broadway in Seattle) Countdown to moving to the other side of the world: 4 days

Spring cleaning 💫 Many of us need to change the arrangement of clothes in our closets for the changing season and this should include kids too! I recommend sorting through kids clothes at least once per quarter because they grow so fast - especially little ones. Pull out clothes that no longer fit and box them up for donation or for hand-me-downs. Add new clothes that are now in season and on size into the mix. Even if you're not tight on space, it can be helpful to put away kid's seasonal clothes if they dress themselves but don't always make great decisions (like shorts on a 40 degree day) 😉 Boy moms - I know you feel me. #professionalorganizer #denvercolorado #littletoncolorado #workingmomlife #organizedliving #denverfamily #homeorganization #smallbusinessdenver #organizedkids #closetorganization

There is more to consider than your final arrangements when thinking about your death. Who gets your comic book collection? Where do you want your clothes donated? There are so many small things to sort out that take away from your loved ones time to grieve. The kindest thing to do is to take time to consider these things and pick a hand full of people you trust to execute these plans for you. Give them one last chance to show their love for you.

CYA L8TR Alligator! (I actually had a phone like this LOL) Spring is the best time to say CYA L8TR to what's no longer serving you. Time to toss out, unfollow, delete, block, donate, and let GO of what's no longer meant for you. Here are some ways to say CYA L8TR: - Un subscribe to those emails reminding you to keep spending money or are just plain annoying your inbox - Delete 5+ numbers from your phone that are people from your past that don't need access to the current and future you.. yes.. even your ex. - Unfollow 5+ accounts/ people who's posts always drag you down or make you feel bad about yourself. Even if it's your family. - Donate those clothing items you save for the day you reach your goals. Keeping them around is hindering you not helping you. - Stop saying YES to things that make you say NO to yourself What are you saying ' CYA L8TR' to?

I don't know how I feel about this. Is it okay to not know how you feel about something? 👇 I think it is. To put my book out there, I do stuff that I feel in my heart. Like randomly sending copies for free to people all over the world that are going through a tough time (illness, loss, depression, etc.) I donated some copies to a charity that helps young people, hoping it can change someone's life. Specially (I thought) some young children in need. Days later I see the copies being sold on Amazon, cheaper than my price. I don't know how I feel. I do know that they perhaps need the money more than the book. And I also know those copies will eventually reach who they were intended to reach. Also, it's okay to give space for your feelings to surface. Don't force them. You don't have to know how you feel immediately after some event takes place. Society imposes immediate stands on everything. It happens in business A LOT! That's not healthy. Feelings evolve. That way you can truly accept, forgive and let go. Take your time.

Marco, This is quite insightful and relatable to most. I agree that sometimes when we're in a hole, we panic trying to dig ourselves out only to make the hole deeper and darker. We may also hurt ourselves and others in this process, and lose the support and trust that we desperately need at this time. All we need is self-compassion and confidence to get out of it. We need to understand that the hole is not our destination but a detour. Having said that, people are different, and so are their perspectives. They are people who are headstrong and walking juggernauts. Falling into a hole might seem like an opportunity or a challenge to some. Some willingly jump into that hole to atone for their fears (maybe sins too 😅). Of course, there is no definitive solution to this. There are only different perspectives and different people. Also, people change and so do their perspectives. I believe one needs to fall into this hole once to test their mettle and come out stronger. The path he chooses would define who they are. This is the weirdest advice I’ve ever gotten. Our brain is funny. When it falls down a hole, it tells us: get up, get out of there! Still tired from the fall, we clumsily try to climb out. Just to trip and fall back in again. Getting even more tired. Going against my brain 🧠 The weirdest, freaking hardest advice to put in practice. But probably the best. I’m on a journey to tell more #ImperfectStories. I would love your support: 📚 Buy Imperfect Stories - The Book - on Amazon,/ All proceeds go to Fairy Bricks, a charity that distributes LEGO for children in hospital in 28 countries. 👉 Connect, follow me Marco Andre ♻️ Repost or Save this post if you find it useful.
