Following the success of Visions4Health's inaugural fireside chat in the summer, our 👩⚕️ Healthcare System Council 👨⚕️ met again last week to discuss another hot topic 👉 what does the recent Lord Darzi investigation into the NHS mean in reality? What are the real hopes and fears of those working at the coal face. 📣 The overarching message is that no matter where an NHS stakeholder sits within the system, they all want to achieve the same outcome of system integration. However, their hopes and fears very much reflect where they work. For example, those in Acute Trusts have hopes and fears around performance measures and digital interconnectivity, while those in primary care have a focus on capability and capacity to achieve the shift away from acute centered care. ⚡ To read more detailed insight on this ‘hot topic’ and to find out more about the Visions4Health fireside chat series visit: https://lnkd.in/eMAnkAPB ⚡ To find out more about the Visions4Health Healthcare System Council visit: https://lnkd.in/e_8UmxBd ⚡ To read our in-depth analysis of how Lord Darzi’s investigation will impact the life sciences industry please visit: https://lnkd.in/e4y7GbHa Visions4Health is your #gatewaytolocaladoption #healthcaresystemcouncil #nhs #marketaccess #lifesciences #pharmaceuticalindustry #medicaldevices

The Prime Minister's recent comments on Lord Darzi’s report underscores the urgent need for NHS reform, emphasising that the system is 'broken, but not beaten'. At Liva Healthcare, we share a vision for a healthier, more resilient NHS — one that is equipped to address chronic health challenges through innovative, preventive care. With the NHS preparing for a digital transformation, including a move towards fully-digital patient records and integrated digital healthcare solutions, our hybrid health model has already been making an impact. We provide personalised coaching through our digital platform, helping patients manage chronic conditions like diabetes and obesity. Our work with NHS programmes, such as the Digital Weight Management Programme (DWMP) and the Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme (T2DR), highlights the power of combining digital tools with human care to deliver meaningful and scalable healthcare interventions. Moving care from hospitals into communities and leveraging digital-first strategies is critical to prevention and long-term reform. At Liva, we are proud to be at the forefront of this shift, empowering people to take control of their health and supporting the NHS in creating sustainable, affordable, community-based care pathways. The future of healthcare lies in prevention, digital innovation, and equitable access—and we are here to help drive that change. https://lnkd.in/edkrScaY Karen O'Regan Shahram Sharif Hayleigh Findlay Stephen Hankinson Ellie Heath Martin Møller Paarse Sian Jarvis, CB, FRCGP(H)

I generally try to stay optimistic about Healthcare, but the reality is that we are BEYOND Crisis. The healthcare landscape has been in full collapse for some time now, yet no alarm bells seem to be ringing. 🚨 Excuse the language, but honestly, I can't use enough profanity to explain how dire our current situation is. Curious about what keeps a #DPC Doc up at night? Check out my latest article in DPC News. https://lnkd.in/eefGzc6Y

📢 Scottish Budget 2024: Hope for Patients on NHS Waiting Lists Today's Scottish Budget announcement brings a much-needed ray of hope for the thousands enduring prolonged waits for essential medical treatments. Recent data from Public Health Scotland highlights a troubling trend: waiting lists have been steadily increasing, leaving many patients and their families in distress and uncertainty. The government's commitment to allocate additional resources to the NHS is a significant and welcome step. A £200m investment which aims to enhance healthcare capacity, streamline services, and ultimately reduce waiting times. To fully realise the goals set out in the budget, working with PHL Synaptik as part of a comprehensive healthcare strategy could be a game-changer. With waiting lists continuing to climb, this approach offers a practical, scalable solution to alleviate the immediate pressures while paving the way for long-term sustainability. By working together with the NHS, the Scottish Government's commitment to tackling growing waiting lists and improving access to care can be accelerated. Here’s how: *Immediate Capacity Relief: Collaborating with PHL Synaptik allows the NHS to deliver more appointments and procedures in a short timeframe. This directly helps to reduce waiting times. *Cost-Effective Solutions: By utilising NHS facilities during off-peak times, insourcing minimises costs compared to outsourcing or building new infrastructure all whilst achieving measurable results. *Patient-Centered Care: Insourcing ensures patients remain within the NHS ecosystem, benefiting from continuity of care and the high standards the NHS is known for. *Support for NHS Staff: Insourcing brings in additional staff to relieve pressure on existing teams, helping prevent burnout and maintaining quality of care. PHL Synaptik pride themselves on being a partner the NHS can trust. The Path Forward: By collaborating with PHL Synaptik on the delivery of an NHS improvement plan, we can take a significant step toward reducing waiting times, supporting NHS staff, and ensuring timely care for all who need it. Let’s continue to advocate for innovative, patient-first solutions that complement the government’s commitments. Together, we can make the vision of accessible, efficient healthcare a reality. #PatientsFirst #ReducingWaitingTimes #PatientCare #ClinicalExcellence #Partnership #LetsWorkTogether

Here's a fine example of what it means to be #ruralstrong in healthcare. Nice work, Ken Westman, on thinking outside the box by creating a network with other #ruralhospitals. It's so important how you're able to remain independent so you're able to serve your communities. https://lnkd.in/gW5VW29U

How do you want to be cared for if you are not able to make healthcare decisions for yourself? Have you expressed these wishes to those who might have to make healthcare decisions on your behalf? Today is National Healthcare Decisions Day, and a good day to start that conversation. https://lnkd.in/ewxqrev5 #NHDD #AdvanceCarePlanning
