CarelonRx and Carelon Research examined mammogram screening rates among commercially insured women over 45, revealing that only 62% had received screenings, with notable geographical disparities particularly in the Western U.S. To address these gaps, they created zip code-level heat maps and collaborated with life sciences partners to implement targeted interventions in high-need areas. The power of data analytics - identifying disparity and creating opportunities for targeted intervention. Also, would be interesting to see the data on pap smears. As a consumer of these services I have to go to two different appointments to have these services. It would be so much easier to have a one stop shop for women's health services and be able to get a mam/pap at the same time.
