How do you update your graphic and digital design portfolio in the year 2024? I think it all depends on what you enjoy doing, what you’re good at, and what you want to keep on doing. In this video I walk through my own portfolio explaining the decisions I’ve made showcasing projects and services. I’ve also included some considerations for newer designers and grads who are considering working independently or in more corporate environments. If you watch until the end I also give a glance of the portfolio I created while studying at Shillington in 2019-2020 and some thoughts on why I think / don’t think it’s a good idea to keep a hard copy of a portfolio on an iPad. https://lnkd.in/gBKNQH6e

🚀 Exciting Project from My Graphic Design Course!🎨 I'm thrilled to share a recent billboard poster I designed during today's graphic design class. This project challenged me to blend creativity with technical skills, and I couldn't be happier with the result! 🖥️ Key Features: - Bold typography for eye-catching headlines - Strategic use of color and contrast to highlight the burger and key messages - Integration of vector art with real images to add a unique twist - Focus on layout to ensure all elements are well-balanced 📈 Why It Matters: This design is a perfect example of how effective visual communication can make a product stand out. It's all about grabbing attention and conveying a message instantly! 💡 Learning Takeaway: Understanding the principles of design, such as balance, contrast, and hierarchy, has been key in bringing this concept to life. I also gained more experience using Adobe Illustrator for advanced effects. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Any suggestions on how I can make this even better? #GraphicDesign #LearningJourney #AdobeIllustrator #BillboardDesign #Creativity #DesignSkills #Marketing
