At the moment, 8 energy startups from all over the globe have sent their applications to participate in the first Open Call for Tech4Good Challenge #1: Energy for Ukraine. A personal miracle for me was that when we registered the challenge on the platform F6S on advice of Yaroslav Yaroslavskiy, and I didn't fully understand how to set everything up, the platform got in touch to me directly and helped us set everything up in a matter of hours. Now, the challenge is visible to a global community of startups, engineers, experts, and investors. Thank you so much Vishakha Harjai & Mahalakshmi Balaraman! In a nutshell, let me remind you what we are talking about - #Tech4GoodGlobalChallenge1 is looking for energy solutions among kinda batteries, food heaters, autonomous heating systems, and so on for ordinary citizens. In Ukraine, due to constant terrorist attacks on power grids, 10 million people live without electricity and heating. The world has been engaged in systemic assistance at various levels for almost three years of full-scale war.  Our initiative is complimentary to all efforts to help people in need. If in this Open Call #1 running until November 15, we find innovative batteries or other gadgets, unknown before, but which can help at least 100 people in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, or my dad in Odesa already this winter, I will be more than happy.  The innovations we find as a result of this initiative will be included in the global catalogue of new technical solutions in the energy sector. Today, these solutions help Ukraine, and tomorrow, they will help people in critical situations in other regions.
