One of the most effective and underutilized piece of media strategy is found in your Media Bios. Are you using that strategy? If not, read on… Let’s say you’re being quoted in The Washington Post, or for a magazine column. How would the columnist describe you? (In other words what would you provide to that writer as your “Mini Media Bio?” That’s what I call the bio that has just a few words. Here are examples that could be used for me if I was being quoted: ⭐️ Mary O’Donohue is a media coach for disruptive women nonfiction authors, and she says… ⭐️ #1 bestselling parenting author, Mary O’Donohue, advises… ⭐️ Oprah Show veteran, Mary O’Donohue, says… How about you? Can you describe yourself in 10 words (preferably less) using one of the examples above as your template? By the way, if you don’t provide this information to a media outlet they will come up with how to describe you on their own. And then your Media Bio is no longer strategic!
