🎭🍿 Transform Your Movie Night into a Home Theater Adventure! 🍿🎭 ⛈️ While Spring hasn't quite sprung yet, we still rely on being indoor for most days and places during this time of the year. So here is the perfect activity to balance downtime with playtime: 🧸 As a Genius of Play Toy Ambassador with The Toy Association, I’m excited to unveil a fresh twist on movie nights - turning them into an interactive home theater game! 💡The Idea? Craft your own cinema at home, but with a playful twist! It’s not just about watching a movie; it’s about creating an entire experience. Think themed decorations, DIY tickets, and popcorn stands - all designed by you and your family or friends. 🧩 This approach to movie night encourages creativity, teamwork, and storytelling, offering a fantastic way to bond and make memories. Plus, it adds an element of anticipation and excitement to your usual movie viewing. 💬 I personally love the idea because it also is a great way to teach kids responsibility by having them create their own venue. Let them be creative and be surprised at what a cool place they might come up with. Maybe they also got the entrepreneurial bug and charge a small entrance fee. 💰 🎥 Check out how to turn a movie night into play here: https://lnkd.in/dNzUGjfr #playambassador #GeniusofPlay #playathome #playideas #neverstopplaying

Home theater > your dinky TLC soundbar 🤷♂️ 1. Elevate your viewing experience: why settle for a tiny TV and tinny sound bar when you can have a home theater that makes you feel like you’re actually IN the movie? Stop squinting at your laptop screen or dealing with subpar audio from your sound bar. Upgrade to a home theater and experience movies the way they were meant to be seen and heard. 2. Skip the overpriced trip to the theater: love the idea of overpaying for popcorn while listening to strangers chew and chat through the best parts of the movie? No? Neither do we. With a home theater, you control the environment. Pause for bathroom breaks, rewind for that epic scene, and enjoy your snacks at a fraction of the cost. Plus, your home theater doesn’t come with sticky floors or obnoxious people texting in the dark. 3. Impress your friends and make people jealous: let’s be honest, a home theater is the ultimate flex. Invite your friends over for movie night and watch their jaws drop at your superior setup. We are your Artisans of Technology. (Feat. Jeff Cole & John Loebel) #Architechne #ArtisansOfTechnology

If I were a movie theater I would just lower the price. Empty movie theaters don’t sell popcorn and soda. No one is seeing 4 movies a year at $20 a ticket. “If we divide that average ticket price by the $10 billion target number, it means 927,643,785 tickets would need to be sold in a given year. If we divide that number by the number of eligible moviegoers in the U.S., that brings us to 3.44 tickets per year, per person. Now, since a person can't buy half of a ticket, we can make this easy and say that the average person would need to see three or four movies in theaters per year to get us to a healthy place.”
"It has been a sobering year for the movie industry, particularly when looking at the state of the box office. We entered 2024 knowing it was likely going to be a down year compared to 2023, when domestic ticket sales topped $9 billion for the first time since the pandemic began. Unfortunately, it's been worse than expected. Ticket sales are pacing more than 20% behind this same point in 2023 and there is little hope on the horizon. So, what can be done to provide hope for Hollywood? In short, people need to start going to the movies more. How we get to that point is a big, complicated question for another time. But what would it take to get the box office back to a healthy place in the pandemic era? That's a question we can at least try to tackle. ... To be very clear, $10 billion annually wouldn't even necessarily be a thriving theatrical marketplace. It would still be a far cry from 2019, when we hit $11.3 billion domestically. This would just get things back to a more workable level for the industry at large. It's a number that theaters could work with on a longer term basis, one that doesn't leave theater owners struggling to survive week-to-week." #cinema #film #theatrical #filmexperience #tentpoleIP #IP #filmticketprices #boxoffice #filmrevenues #theaters #theaterrevenues #filmstrategy #filmmarketing

Doom and gloom has turned into hope that the movie theater industry can survive the aftermath of the pandemic and labor strikes. — The stronger-than-expected finish to the summer movie season has led to cautious optimism, especially given how the summer started. — "Inside Out 2" became the highest-grossing animated movie ever, giving Pixar Animation Studios its first hit in years. "Deadpool & Wolverine" became the highest-grossing R-rated film ever and reenergized Marvel Studios. At the same time, most of the major theater chains are on better financial footing: — Cinemark, the third-biggest theater chain in the U.S., has seen its stock more than double this year. — Regal, whose parent Cineworld Cinemas Ltd emerged out of bankruptcy, raised $250 million to upgrade more than 30 of its locations. — Even AMC Theatres, which has flirted with bankruptcy, was able to restructure more than $2 billion of its debt. "Next summer will be a very clear window into where the industry is at compared to where we left off in 2019," Jeff Bock tell me: Read more at Axios Pro https://lnkd.in/enGCrpcP

Achieving the true cinema experience at home needs external light to be eliminated, otherwise it ends up being a distraction and annoyance. With Uni-Blinds pleated blackout system, there are no vertical cords running down the blind so no opportunity for light to leak through tiny gaps when in the closed position. https://bit.ly/3oVJl3m

November has arrived, and with it eyes shift toward what's shaping up to be a strong Thanksgiving box office for studios and movie theaters as GLADIATOR II, WICKED, and MOANA 2 get ready to storm cinemas. With such a formidable trio ahead, how are important are premium screens such as IMAX, Dolby, RPX, 4DX, ScreenX, 3D and more to these and other movies in the modern moviegoing climate? Thanks as always to Sarah Whitten for her great reporting at CNBC. “Audiences are gravitating toward the biggest, best and most immersive auditoriums,” said Shawn Robbins, director of analytics for Fandango’s movie division and founder and owner of Box Office Theory. “They are the first to sell out for high-demand movies, and opening day sales often slow down or spill into future days as those screens and their best seats fill up rather than carry over into non-premium, traditional auditoriums which are less attractive to most modern moviegoers.” “Word of mouth on a movie itself can still ultimately be the driver in consumer choice to spend their money on movie tickets and popcorn, though,” Robbins said. “After an initial burst of strong reception and a premium screen footprint at release, certain movies transcend format preference and some casual audiences will be convinced to buy a ticket regardless of format.” Entelligence National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) Paramount Pictures Paul Dergarabedian Steve Buck Universal Pictures The Walt Disney Company #Wicked #GladiatorII #Moana2 #Universal #Paramount #Disney #BoxOffice #movies #cinema #theaters #film #entertainment #trending #trendingnews #trendingtopic #trendingonlinkedin
