Building trust is a process that requires intentionality, authenticity, humility, and a willingness to reexamine institutional norms and narratives. Melissa Tribelhorn, MPA and Northwest Association for Biomedical Research are providing critical thought leadership on an important frontier at the intersection of healthcare and technology to weigh the benefits and risks of rapid technological advancement in patient data acquisition and the potential impact on a range of products from consumer healthcare devices to breakthrough therapeutic discoveries. I deeply appreciate the approach through a critical policy lens - ie. how can we create an environment that propels new innovation while being mindful of maintaining sensible guardrails along the way?
Proud to present our White Paper detailing the findings from the Trusting the Science event on 10/7, hosted by Northwest Association for Biomedical Research, We Work For Health & @wghalliance. If you remember, I wrote an article way back in January about the usage of brain-computer interfaces to help patients with locked-in syndrome communicate with the world. Thanks to Sophie Valentine, Sankalp Sharma, Muhammed Ali, and Tiffany Lou, we just got it published in the NeuroTechX content laboratory. NTX is one of the biggest Neurotech communities in the world and I'm so thrilled to have been published. Check out the Article here! https://lnkd.in/e7rQyrEE

What a success!
For this month's Connect.Excite.Heal. Series, we would like to highlight the Brain-Heart Interconnectome's (BHI) first bi-annual State of the Science Summit, that took place from June 12-14th. We had a very exciting program including international speakers and a public lecture with patient partners. We would also like to congratulate our Trainee Rapid fire presenters and our poster presenter awardees. We were excited to welcome over 550 participants over three days, and heard from 30 speakers/patient partners/moderators. Special thanks to Mr. André Picard. Andre Picard University of Ottawa
