This one snuck up on me but the passing of time is worth celebrating right? Yesterday was my fifth anniversary of joining BoxLogic | Logistics & Warehouse Consultants and it means a lot to me. To me, it represents: 5️⃣ years since I left a stable job at Accenture to build something new that has given me fulfilment and pride. 5️⃣ years of riding the waves of some pretty turbulent economic times. 5️⃣ years of partnership and teamwork with Stuart Parsons and Nishit Nisudan to make decisions in the best interest of our customers and company. 5️⃣ years - the longest time I’ve spent at a company (it just happens to be the one I’m most invested in). 5️⃣ years of doing things I’ve never done before and learning new skills, website design, marketing, HR, sales etc. 5️⃣ years of working on the most exciting projects of my career, furthering my experience in an ever-changing industry. It’s not always been easy. There have been some worrying moments (Covid), some slow periods and tricky projects. Much of this journey also coincided with me becoming a father to my ultimate pride and joy, Finn ❤️. Life is pretty different to how it was just over five years ago… So it feels a good time to give thanks to everyone I’ve worked with, whether you’ve been a customer, supplier, colleague or otherwise 🙏. Time is worth celebrating and hopefully I’ll be doing so again in another five years time.

🎩 Hats off to our fearless partners! 👏👏👏 Last week we hosted the 9th Annual Microsoft Advertising Partner Awards at Cipriani in New York. There’s an old proverb that says “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”. This is true everywhere in life, and it’s something that I deeply believe makes the world a better place. Last week, we celebrated all facets of great partnership. It’s worth asking, what makes a great partner?  I think we find our best partners when we listen with open minds, collaborate creatively, and build trust at every opportunity. We are at our best as partners when we check our egos at the door, have the courage to keep raising the bar, and bravely stand up for our shared values.  A friend once shared this nugget of wisdom with me, “how can you possibly know what you’re doing when you haven’t done it yet?” Our best partners have the courage to keep moving forward even when they’re the first to chart the path. They persist even when they don’t have a clear picture of the destination in their heads.  Thank you to all of the nominees and congratulations to our winners: Assembly Global, C-4 Analytics, LLC, dentsu, DuckDuckGo, EssenceMediacom, GroupM, Hibu, Logical Position, Meet Rise, Publicis Groupe, and Socius Marketing. I’ll keep this short and sweet. After 7.5 years, I say goodbye to Okta. 7 different roles spanning everything from Product Marketing to Demand Marketing and everything in between. $100M~ in ARR to $2B+. The creation and re-invention of multiple market categories. From just a few thousand customers to north of 20,000. Truly iconic, and I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it. Todd McKinnon and Frederic Kerrest, it was a heck of a ride. As for what’s next, I’m excited to share that I’m starting my adventure as Chief Marketing Officer for Axonius. A few important considerations in choosing my next gig: (1) the opportunity to partner with fantastic founders in Dean Sysman Ofri Shur and Avidor Bartov who bring unparalleled expertise, integrity and intellectual curiosity. (2) a market opportunity that is massive, pervasive and untapped (CAASM) … and it’s just the beginning. (3) technology that customers love. Axonius delivers on all of this and more. The future is bright and I’m really excited to get started.
