What's the average return on ads? There are a lot of answers, but here is how we guarantee a 3-4x ROAS for our clients with paid advertising. First, we fix their website, any unoptimised pages, we optimise. We add upsells, sticky add to cart, and email pop ups. While we are doing this, we are working on the creatives and email campaigns as well. Secondly, we start ads. We upload the creatives organically to gain some traction but obviously the ads are our main focus point. We write the copy depending on who the customer avatar is, and then make the ads active and spending. Everyday we check the ads to see what is and isn't working and then optimise the creatives and copy based on the ad results and most importantly retention rate and CTR. During this whole process we are running ads for a giveaway to a landing page which asks for their email for a chance to win free products. We make the money back from people still buying from the store, but even if they don't we are paying a couple hundred bucks for thousands of active emails. Once we have found the best 10-15 winning ads, we simply scale. The most important part in this all that will depend on your brand being profitable or not is the product.
