Another top day on the road this time with James Harrison Identified an issue on a site where “High Temp” grease had been previously recommended by another supplier without checking the application parameters, OEM specifications or grease previously used. Grease has become hard, blocking the lines & starving the bearing of lubricant. This has potential for bearing failures on critical kit to the site operation. On inspection the grease is not miscible hence the issue. This was explained to the engineers and a plan of action put into place to rectify the situation using Interflon lubricants & degreasers, hopefully avoiding any costly failures that were on the horizon.
