♻️💡♻️ Unwrapping #PPWR Time for article 7 today: Recycled Content ✅ By 2030: Packaging containing more than 5% of plastic will need a % of recycled plastic ✅ By 2040: Targets will be even more ambitious 🌱 This is clearly a significant step towards driving Packaging circularity. A crucial one. In the below carrousel more details. What are the aims: ↳ Building further on art.6 - What is the point to have recyclable packaging (by design) that is getting recyclable in reality (at scale) if there is not an end market for it?! Would even exist circularity if this will not happen?! That’s why this is another key requirement! ↳ Even if this article refers to Plastic (please let’s keep in mind overall #PPWR is tackling all Packaging materials!), there is clearly a need to see this more across the board on all Packaging materials! Question: ↳ Will you wait until last minute to see how you will be getting to that recycled content target or would you start looking already looking into it now 🚀? Fully understanding the #PPWR implications is the crucial first step for every (!) business touching Packaging in EU. For every single business! 💚♻️💚 Let's drive together the change towards a more sustainable future! Great post Marius. I'm afraid that most companies will remain inactive until they're forced to act.
And most people didn’t recognize with recycling content challenges come aside… safety is paramount and has to be ensured while being sustainable and compliant!
