Thank you Hartford Business Journal and David Krechevsky for this insight and interview on our work at DeepLook Medical. 📣 311,000 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the US annually 📣 Dense Breasts account for 71% of thise diagnosises. 📣 There is a way to help women with dense breasts save money on additional screenings — by eliminating them. DeepLook Medical 📣 “Even if we could reduce additional imaging by just 1% — and we have initial studies that show a 12% reduction — we can save payers $302 million a year” 📣 "When you look at the details on a computer basis, as opposed to just with your eyes, you’re able to show a lot more.” There needs to be investment in innovative, iterative technologies that build off of the innovations that are already in market. We need to work together, collaborate together, and remember who we are working for.... the patients. #womenhealth #breastimaging #breastcancer #radiologists #radiology #aiinhealth #womanceo

Breast cancer screening can be uncomfortable and unsettling for many patients, leaving them feeling vulnerable. Did you know that 1 in 8 women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? This means that some women, apart from those diagnosed, will also experience the shock of a cancer scare. Early detection is crucial in reducing the risk of dying from breast cancer. However, it's concerning that traditional age-based screenings miss 20 percent of breast cancers out of the 40 million mammogram screenings performed annually in the United States, as reported by the American Cancer Society. The entire process can leave patients feeling lost and bewildered, even after receiving a clean bill of health. Part of changing the patient experience for the better involves equipping healthcare providers and radiologists with the tools to identify patients at elevated risks of developing cancer and personalizing care recommendations to empower patients. Healthcare software companies like Volpara Health are innovating that next level of support with AI. #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #HealthcareInsights #Microsoftadvocate
