Living and working in Newport Beach shows me every day how important a strong community is. In real estate, and in any job, building a community isn’t just nice—it’s necessary. Helping local businesses, joining community events, and making real connections can make life better for everyone. Here are a few ways to add value to your community: Support Local Businesses: Shop locally and recommend local businesses to others. Engage in Community Events: Participate in or sponsor local events to stay connected. Build Genuine Connections: Take the time to get to know your neighbors and clients personally. Share Your Expertise: Offer your knowledge and skills to help others in the community. Promote Local Opportunities: Use your platform to highlight local events, businesses, and opportunities. How do you build community in your work? What tips do you have for creating value for your clients and community? Let's share our ideas and support each other in making our communities stronger. As more and more of us embrace online shopping, it’s easy to forget the experiences that come from wandering through a local market, chatting with a shop owner, or catching up with friends over a drink. When we talk about the local economy, it’s easy to forget that there is one simple goal: To create happy, thriving communities. Often we don’t give it a second thought, yet supporting local businesses helps create a sense of local identity and strong sense of belonging. These moments remind us why it’s important to be a part of a community in the first place.
As 2024 comes to a close, our General Manager, Cheryl Adamson, has reflected on what local businesses need for them to keep their doors open in the new year. With Aucklanders already showing their love for community events, Cheryl outlines how they can show the same support for their favourite local spots.
