Many of us come to LinkedIn with one thing on our minds: that BIG JOB! Yes, I see you! You’re ready to land that dream position and secure the bag! But let’s be real—if you’re here just to take and not to give, get ready for some serious frustration! LinkedIn is not a job market drive-thru where you pull up, place your order, and drive off with an offer. No, no, no! It’s a community, a place of mutual refreshing! Just as the scripture says, when you refresh others, you yourself will be refreshed. If you come here with a generous spirit—sharing insights, supporting others, and giving value—you’ll be amazed at what comes back to you. Amen? Are we learning something? ✅ If you want to prosper, sow into others! This isn’t just about self-promotion—“Look at me! I’m amazing! Hire me!” No, no! Instead, ask, “How can I support? 😟 Everyone Is Ahead on LinkedIn. No One’s on My Level If you’ve ever scrolled through LinkedIn and thought everyone else seems way ahead, you’re not alone. Many people put out the best version of themselves, while quietly dealing with their own doubts and struggles. 🔆 Honestly, I can’t count how many times I turn to Google or ChatGPT just to remind myself of the code I use all the time! Yet, when I post about my work, you’ll usually see the polished, final product. Why? Because no one wants to hear about the daily bumps along the way. ❌ People may assume that building solutions and coding comes effortlessly—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We all hit challenges; the difference comes down to our willingness to push through and find solutions, even when it’s tough. ✔️ Here’s my truth: I don’t believe in “genius” as something you’re simply born with. Genius is hard work. It’s built on consistent practice and relentless effort. The more I learn, the more I realize just how vast my own ignorance is—and that’s actually powerful. It keeps me humble and helps me appreciate what I know now, even as I push into new areas where I feel clueless. 💪 I trust that I can learn or master anything if I put in the time and effort. As someone wisely put it: “Time becomes your advantage when consistency is in place.” 💆So if you’re teetering between self-doubt and overconfidence, lean toward confidence. With confidence, you’ll get lucky sometimes—you may even surprise yourself. But with self-doubt, it’s tough to convince anyone, including yourself, that you’re capable. 🤏Those who’ve built great things had a certain belief, even a level of “delusion,” that made them keep going when the odds seemed low. They held on to that belief until they made it a reality. That same belief is what lets us plan for tomorrow, assuming we’ll be here to see it. What’s that thing you’ve been holding back on because you feel imperfect, or the imposter syndrome is kicking in? Why not let yourself believe you can—and just go ahead and do it.
