Thank you, Supervisor Hickman!
I was a child of unincorporated area. My brothers, a Little League coach was a supervisor, Fred Coury that I had great respect for. I always saw these these leaders for the county and the West Valley that are just we're just sterling people and very honorable guys. It's like, you know, that must be a job that you almost have to prove your honor and integrity and character. I think thing I most remember is being a chairman during the pandemic. It really messed with the county and the service to the county. In the county taxpayer, the county residents, people were working from home because we this disease was going on that we knew nothing about. So I just remember the feel of that of, of leading through a pandemic. There now. Exists the possibility of buying a great house, a new house in the West Valley with your job being within 5 miles? It's nice to keep your residence with great jobs within your own community. We've got some issues coming. You know, there's no doubt anybody what's growing population, there's no issues. There's, there's water issues, housing, however this county is positioned so well. So well for growth. I hope that the supervisors coming on will understand that dollars that remain in our citizens pockets helps the economy. This is an efficient brand of government where people work hard. I hope that the county employees have felt that I've had their back seeing the the effects that people that are unwilling to research and learn and decide to spout opinions. Without working a minute in these facilities or a minute alongside the people doing these incredibly important jobs, that community, that's been hard to watch. That I want to have more time with my family. That's my main priority in these next couple years. While my son was recruited and and made a commitment to the University of Arizona. That's just one son. My oldest son is already there. He's made a commitment to pitch for the Wildcats, which is my alma mater and my wife's alma mater. So it's a dream come true. I've had the best staff. I had the best in Bill, Michelle, Candy and not least important, Scott Isham, who I hope stays. I think he's going to stay with the county, with my successor. Everybody can feel good about District 4321. Really enjoyed the job. I I hope I made you proud.
