🇧🇷Today we celebrate one year of cooperation between Emile Foundation and Brazil 🙌 Since May 2023, our organisation, Emile Foundation, has been advocating in over 27 countries to raise awareness about Ukrainian children being forcibly and illegally deported to Russia. For a year now, Brazil has been a vital partner, helping us address the humanitarian aspects of this issue. We are immensely thankful to our team for their intense work on the advocacy programme, sharing the situation of these children with the world. 🇺🇦 Over the last 12 months of partnership with Brazil, we have met with more than 36 senators and members of Congress, as well as ministries and the Brazilian government, with the aim to return illegally deported children to Ukraine. Our NGO focuses its efforts on providing a voice for those who are unable to speak or whose voice cannot be heard. We are absolutely honoured to see such great and important support, as well as promising partnerships for our upcoming activities 🙏🇧🇷 Civil society plays a crucial role in re-establishing democracy, freedom, and solidarity during wartime. It's essential to continue raising awareness until every single child is returned to Ukraine, peace is restored, and the Ukrainian people feel their rights are protected. We wish Brazil all the best as they prepare for and host the G20 Peace Summit, where the Russia-Ukraine war will certainly be discussed. #EmileFoundation #brazilcooperation #children #HumanRightsMatter The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine | European Parliament | Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe | Council of Europe | Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada Ministère des Affaires étrangères français | Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken | Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belgium | Bring Kids Back UA

Action plan for the return of Ukrainian children: Ukrainian NGOs address the global community The NGO “Responsible Citizens” joined a statement by 48 NGOs ahead of the Human Dimension Ministerial Conference on Ukraine’s Peace Plan, scheduled for October 30-31 in #Montreal. The signatories emphasize that tens of thousands of Ukrainian children have been deported or forcibly displaced, with over 90% still in Russian families or institutions, in violation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, particularly regarding the preservation of identity and access to education. In response, the signatory organizations provided recommendations for inclusion in the Action Plan with concrete measures for returning the children and in documents created after the Ministerial Conference. “Responsible Citizens,” as one of the leading humanitarian organizations in eastern Ukraine, fully supports this position and is ready to contribute to its implementation. As Olga Kosse, the Head of the Board, states: 💬“The mass forced displacement of Ukrainian children is not only a tragedy for our country but also a challenge for the entire international community. It is a gross violation of fundamental human rights. We must use all means to draw global attention to the need to protect our children and make this a priority in global diplomacy. Our organization will work both internationally, continuing to advocate for these principles, and in Ukraine, providing real assistance to those most affected by the war.” “Responsible Citizens” calls for the consolidation of efforts by NGOs, governments, and international partners to ensure children’s rights in Ukraine. Without proper attention to human rights, Ukraine will lack a foundation for sustainable development. The statement was initiated by the Ukrainian Child Rights Network #ChildRights #ukraine

Over the past few days Haiti and Haitians have, once again, been on the front pages of international and social media. Some parts of the UN wants to send in yet another "peacekeeping" force, and some parts of the USA want to claim that Haitians are stealing and eating household pets. These two things might seem unrelated but they are not. They are both direct results of very specific hatred based on racism, slavery, and fear. Haiti was the first Black sovereign nation in the Western Hemisphere. The first slave colony to overthrow its colonial masters. It paved the way for global decolonisation and for the end of slavery, although it came at a heavy price as France demanded that Haiti compensate it for every slave that it had freed. France never gave that money back. Since Haiti's slave revolt, the global community has intervened time and again to prevent Haitians' right of self-determination including choosing who governs over them. Haiti is a country steeped in politics, arts, culture, literature, colour, and so much more. But the international media portrays it as something else entirely. The Global North views and treats Haiti and Haitians as a different class or beast or worse. While many Global South countries credit Haiti with their own freedom, the former imperialist masters continue to subjugate, "other" and oppress Haitians for daring to stand up, speak out, and fight back against slavery. Haiti does not need yet another international intervention. It does not need outside people -- who do not speak the language, understand the culture or context, or even know the lay of the land -- to tell its people what to do. And the instability and chaos caused by those interventions are a direct reason why so many Haitians have moved abroad, where they are treated with the kind of racism and contempt that we saw at the highest level of USA politics this week. One day I will turn on the news and read about Haitian music and song, about the vibrant artists and writers, about the successes of the broad civil society, about the agriculture and farming methods, about the beautiful beaches in the North. One day I will read in the news about the brilliance of Haitians in the country and diaspora, their contributions to global society, public health, financial institutions, sports, and much more. The only way we will get to that point is for the world to stop intervening in Haitian affairs, to support Haitian solutions for Haitian problems, to cease stripping the country's resources. It will mean the world has to stop worrying that Haiti will (rightly) demand reparations from France, and that other countries that became rich from slavery and imperialism may also have to compensate their former slave colonies. The racism from Vance and Trump is a direct result of the racism perpetrated against Haiti for more than 2 centuries. It will only end when the Global North accepts that Haiti is not a slave colony and that Haitians are free people.

In a historic and momentous step, Spain and Ireland today announced their recognition of the State of Palestine, reaffirming the inviolable right for every person in the world to self-determination. This move sends a powerful message to the world: the struggle for justice and sovereignty cannot be ignored. The right to self-determination is not a privilege granted by the powerful; it is a fundamental human right. As such, it is not something that can be taken away or be denied by any person or any country. Fundamental human rights are innate. And these rights, as expressed in the International Bill of RIghts, are not optional. They are the bedrock of international law and the cornerstone of our global community’s moral compass. It is not for anyone to pick and choose which fundamental rights they deny or not. Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and Ireland’s leaders Simon Harris, Micheál Martin, and Eamon Ryan have taken a stand that history will remember. Their actions are not merely symbolic; they are a clarion call to other nations to follow suit and recognise the Palestinian people's right to their own state. This is not just about Palestine. It is about affirming the principles that underpin our global order. It is about rejecting the notion that some states can wield a veto over the aspirations of an entire people. Israel’s opposition to a State of Palestine cannot dictate the fate of the Palestinian people, despite US' UNSC veto power. True peace and stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through justice and recognition of sovereignty. While Sweden was already there in this recognition, the courage of Spain and Ireland builds on the precedent. It challenges the status quo and breathes life into the dreams of millions who have longed for a homeland free from occupation and oppression. With other countries like Belgium, Slovenia, Malta, and Norway considering similar moves, we stand at the brink of a new era of recognition and justice. As citizens of a global community, we must support and amplify these voices of justice. The time for equivocation is over. We must stand firmly with those who champion the right to self-determination. The world is watching, and history will judge us by our actions today. #Palestine #MiddleEast #SelfDetermination #HumanRights

We are sharing an important appeal – an open letter “Solidarity in Action” of the National Network of Local Philanthropy Development, a member of the Alliance UA CSO. The letter calls on international partners to prioritize the results of their work in Ukraine, and on local actors to be proactive and advocate for the creation of a sustainable system of local humanitarian response. Alliance UA CSO focuses its work on ensuring local leadership, including spreading awareness about the localization approach, and this letter emphasizes the key principles underlying our joint work: solidarity, responsibility, transparency, and mutual support. Changing the distribution of influence within the sector, and introducing new funding and coordination mechanisms is a multilayered process that requires the involvement of all parties on an equal footing. We urge you to read the letter and, if you resonate with these values, support the localization and join the signing. https://lnkd.in/dN5pJkAr

🚨 Our organisation OFF - Orphans Feeding Foundation was #live on BBC News last night to talk about our international campaign “Back2School but NOT for them,” addressing the urgent issue of Ukrainian children being deported to Russia. 🙏 Our gratitude to BBC News for helping us raise awareness, and a special thank you to Kasia Madera. Your work as a journalist today is vital and precious in sharing real-time information about what is happening on the ground mainly on children deportation issues in Ukraine 🇺🇦 🌍 According to international law, including the 1948 Convention, these actions constitute genocide if done with the intent to eradicate Ukrainian culture. The United Nations has classified the deportation of Ukrainian children as a war crime. 📰 As detailed in the “white paper” drafted by the Bring Kids Back UA task force (see comment for link), these acts represent serious violations of international human rights law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and the United Nations Resolution on Children and Armed Conflict. Please support our mission by raising awareness, donating to support our work, and helping us in the effort of returning these children. More info and link in the comments. 🕊️✨ Let's Reflect on Peace ✨🕊️ As we commemorate the International Day of Living Together in Peace, it's crucial to pause and reflect on the state of our world. In a time marred by conflicts and wars, such as those in Gaza and Ukraine, the importance of peace resonates more deeply than ever before. Additionally, closer to home, in Zimbabwe, peace in local politics is paramount, especially considering the country's history of political violence. Every year on May 16th, we're reminded of our collective responsibility to promote harmony, understanding, and reconciliation among all peoples and nations. Yet, amidst the chaos and violence that plague so many regions, achieving peace can seem like an insurmountable challenge. However, it's precisely during these turbulent times that we must reaffirm our commitment to peace. We must recognize that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of justice, equality, and mutual respect. It's about fostering empathy, compassion, and cooperation across borders and ideologies. The wars in Gaza and Ukraine serve as stark reminders of the devastating consequences of division and hostility. Lives are lost, families torn apart, and communities shattered. But amidst the despair, there is also hope. Hope in the resilience of the human spirit, in the power of dialogue and diplomacy, and in our capacity to build a better world together. On this International Day of Living Together in Peace, let's come together as global citizens to advocate for peace in all its forms. Let's amplify the voices of peacebuilders, activists, and peacemakers working tirelessly to bridge divides and promote understanding. Let's strive to create a world where every individual can live in dignity and security, free from fear and violence. Moreover, when term limits expire for presidents in some countries, this sometimes triggers political violence, let's hope Zimbabwe can navigate this transition peacefully. Together, we can turn the tide of conflict and build a future where peace reigns supreme. Let's sow the seeds of peace today for a brighter tomorrow for generations to come. #InternationalDayofPeace #LivingTogetherinPeace #PeaceDay #GlobalUnity 🌍🕊️

#analysis: Russia Opens Its Vaults To Reveal Black Biblical Israelites #perspective Russia has released an equivalent of a Nuclear, exposed Western lies. The Chinese did not have access to this data, however they saw attempts to genocide the scattered Luo; and warned any attempt to cause harm to the Luo . Chinese military will interven to protect 'the Children of Isreal'; western policies subjected to Much suffering and state violence. The West indoctrinated Native African populations, brainwashed and incited them to hate the Luo. Every year western agencies, elites and governments pour upwards of $4.5 billion USD into Elite Capture in the guise of promoting democracy. These millions sustain a 'deep state' that has a chokehold on the neck of the Luo. The suffering of the Luo is at industrial scale, worse than the situation facing Palestineans. It offended Iranians, Gulf countries and the Chinese. To find jobs for the embargoed Luos, Gulf nations opened their borders for Luos to work. The democracy projects in Kenya means the Luo must be impoverished and locked in poverty. What the West does is to get the country to factor aid in the budget, with western governments pushing elites into benign neglect of Luo region in the guise that Aid agencies will take care of Luoland the way the US and the French impoverished Haiti; April 5, 2019 Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) operating in Nyanza region received Sh45 billion from donors last year, a report has revealed. The report by the NGO Coordination Board indicates that Sh20 billions of these funds were used to implement various projects in the region within the same period. https://lnkd.in/dHMFhumg Understand Haiti has a significant Jacobite (Luo population) that was enslaved with the orders of the Pope. Haiti are Israelites, there situation is similar to what western agencies subject the Luo. To oppress the Luo; the West must control East Africa's governance system to push benign neglect policies; it is only in Tanzania the West had no space to terrorise Hebrew Isrealites, March 21 2022 "China will send out engineers and students. We don’t send out weapons". "We don’t impose our views on others in the name of democracy or human rights". "Our real purpose is to achieve common development and prosperity". "We want to see our friends here enjoy the same living standards, the same happy life". https://lnkd.in/dyh-uJAp The Chinese we are told are godless and evil protects Children of Isreal from Zionists who control western agencies, International system, the media and tools of corruption. During the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885, participants resolved to hunt down scattered Luo, eliminate and erase them from History. The countries represented at the time included Austria-Hungary, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden-Norway (unified from 1814-1905), Turkey, and the United States of America.

Ukrainian civil society organizations continue their vital work amidst the ongoing full-scale war, demonstrating resilience and unwavering commitment to rebuilding the country. Recognizing the importance of effective international cooperation, We have joined an open letter by National Network of Local Philanthropy Development addressing donors and international organizations to advocate for actionable support for local initiatives. Why is this necessary? While localization has become a priority in global discourse, Ukrainian organizations often face challenges in accessing equitable support and meaningful participation in decision-making processes. Research highlights that local partners not only bring unparalleled contextual expertise but also utilize resources 15.5% more effectively. The letter emphasizes the importance of: - Ensuring fair distribution of aid, addressing all regions of Ukraine; - Promoting transparency and inclusion in decision-making and international forums; - Sharing responsibility with local organizations, rather than shifting risks solely onto them; - Building sustainable partnerships that go beyond short-term solutions. As members of the Ukrainian civil society sector, we believe that the path to real solidarity lies in collaborative actions that empower local communities and build long-term resilience. 📜 Read the letter here: (https://lnkd.in/dfyCwqtS) We are grateful for the ongoing support of the international community and encourage continued dialogue and collaboration to ensure impactful localization efforts. Together, we can create a foundation for a stronger future! #philanthropyinukraine #philinua

🌿A Growing Civil Society During Wartime🌿 "In response to the Russian armed aggression, Ukrainian civil society came together, and new CSOs and NGOs began to appear," says Alina Orkusha from the Ukrainian organisation БФ "Схід SOS" | CF "East SOS". This project is titled 'Bridging Capacities Amid the War', a collaboration between the Danish organisation Den Danske Helsinki-Komité for Menneskerettigheder and the Ukrainian NGO "East SOS". The project is designed to assist the recently established CSOs and NGOs in Ukraine in strengthening civil society amid a crisis. This is done by offering capacity building, providing organisational development, and helping to integrate human rights principles into the work. "We decided to support those who take a proactive stance, sometimes despite lacking resources and skills. We know that only with joint efforts will we be able to overcome the challenges that Ukrainians face today," says Alina Orkusha. Mutual learning and exchange between Ukrainian and Danish civil society groups will enrich all members and establish new connections and networks, linking Ukrainian NGOs and CSOs closer to their European counterparts.
