My first ever client came from LinkedIn. My first ever job offer came from LinkedIn. My first ever podcast guest invite came from LinkedIn. My first ever networking event invite came from LinkedIn. When used right, LinkedIn is a powerful tool. If you’re: ← Focusing solely on self-promotion. ← Hoping for visibility without strategy. ← Neglecting the importance of genuine connections. Maybe you’re not thinking about growing your brand right. This is how you actually grow your brand on LinkedIn: → Implement a targeted content strategy. → Prioritise value-driven content over self-promotion. → Cultivate meaningful relationships through authentic engagement. Strong "promotion techniques" are good but strong "relationship-building skills" are better. Make your network WANT to connect with you. Don't force them. 💅🏻 PS: Let me know if you'd like me to write a breakdown of engagement (and what it entails) in comments! ______ If this was insightful, consider re-sharing ♻️ and follow me, Mariam Gogidze for more content like this! #LetsGOGetit 🍒
I am quickly learning a couple of things about LinkedIn Mariam Gogidze. a) So many people chase the vanity metrics (likes, impressions and followers). b) Most people use linked in as a lead generation platform. This doesn't really mean much. The reality is, if you fall into a or b, you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice. LinkedIn is the ultimate referral marketing platform. Because of LinkedIn and referrals, similar to what you said: -- My first podcast invites -- My firm's first client (my first request for a proposal actually) -- My first invite to a speaking engagement -- My first ever "live" networking event Your post should resonate with EVERYONE -- you pretty much framed up in the best way possible, how LinkedIn should be used to give yourself the very best chance of success. Simple brilliant post!
Mariam Gogidze - Just a super impressive and inspiring story about how you've accomplished so much in just a short amount of time. Do you even bother with other social media platforms or does this do enough for you by itself.
I'm with you, Mariam! Building genuine relationships should be the foundation of any successful LinkedIn strategy. I'd love to see that breakdown of engagement, by the way. 😉
When you combine strategy and authenticity, LinkedIn becomes a powerful tool for building your brand. Mariam Gogidze
LinkedIn isn’t just a platform, it’s a relationship hub. The key? Be genuine and add value. Focus on building trust and connections, not just visibility. People connect with people, not profiles. Don’t just post engage meaningfully with others to make your network grow naturally. Mariam Gogidze
Your insights hit the mark—LinkedIn is a game-changer when approached with authenticity and strategy. Focusing on value-driven content truly drives results. → Build relationships, not just followers. → Strategy amplifies visibility and engagement. → Share value to make meaningful connections.
When you set your priorities right, getting it right on LinkedIn becomes easier. I also got lost in this mistake, thinking LinkedIn is only for job opportunities, trust me, I ran back. What makes LinkedIn a safe place for everybody is the relationship you build with people, not just the opportunities you see. If you focus too much on gains, you will be disappointed, but when you focus on connecting and making impact, then your journey on LinkedIn will be a fruitful one.
LinkedIn has also been a game-changer for me! It’s about what you share and how you engage with others. Building authentic connections has made all the difference.
You need to be known to be invited. Period And LinkedIn is THE Place to be

1d📌🎀 Let’s step back and break down engagement. It involves: 1. Direct messaging to create and strengthen relationships. 2. Connecting with others to expand your network. 3. Responding to comments on your posts. 4. Commenting on other people's posts. If you want: → great post performance, → a growing following, → increased authority. You need to engage actively, and authentically.
