Spend the rest of the time: - Creating content - Improving your product/service - Starting conversations with your ICP - Building/training your team of A-Players This will scale your business more than "engaging".

Can you handle it? My MD asked this question during the first few weeks of managing social media. It was my first time scheduling a post, and honestly, I didn't know I could schedule a post before then. I replied, 'I'm not sure, but I will figure it out.' Then, he went ahead to give me a brief tutorial, and I watched some videos on YouTube. And proceeded with the task of the day. When that question came like so many times I have heard that question, I could have said I don't know and I can't do it, but I left room to learn. If there is one thing I have learned in the business of working, it is you don't know it all and you need to give room to learning. As a Virtual Assistant, I have encountered different work environments with new workspace and tools to work with. Every job comes with a new training course. The art of schooling, you literally school and work day in, day out. So what does this say; you need to have an open mind and a growth mindset. Also knowing that knowledge passed can still help in the future, so don't lose sight of what you learned before. Is it safe to say that learning on the job is not only for beginners? I never learned how to drive—but I did spend years studying how my dad drives. I watched how he held the steering wheel, maneuvered through limited spaces, and reacted to sudden actions by other drivers. I could even predict his next move. But when the time came to try driving myself, I quickly realized: all that studying didn’t prepare me for the feeling of being behind the wheel. The theory was useful, but the day I sat in the driver’s seat for the first time, with my hands on the wheel, I realized — knowing is one thing, doing is another. Don’t get me wrong—studying has its place. My University education in Mass Communication as an example gave me the foundation to understand some advertising principles, storytelling, and communication strategies. Certifications and licenses helped me refine these skills. But the real mastery of these skills? That came from the “doing”. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in 9+ years of marketing, customer experience, and digital transformation, it’s that… You can’t theorize your way to success. At some point, you have to roll up your sleeves, get messy, and learn by doing. So, my advice? Study diligently. Equip yourself with the right knowledge. But don’t stop there - apply it. Whether it’s how to draft emails, speak to customers, or lead a team, the real lessons come when you take action. I hope this helps someone out there to take action and start doing - not just studying.
