Attention content creators! Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines have been updated, and there's a new factor to consider: Experience (E-E-A-T). That's right, Google now places even greater importance on content that demonstrates the author's firsthand knowledge and practical application of the subject matter. This is especially crucial for "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) topics, where information directly impacts users' well-being. Here's the breakdown: Expertise: Is the author a proven authority in the field? Authoritativeness: Does the content come from a reputable source? Trustworthiness: Can users rely on the accuracy and fairness of the information? Experience: Has the author personally used the product, visited the place, or lived the experience they're writing about? So, how can you ensure your content reflects E-E-A-T? Highlight your qualifications: Showcase your education, certifications, and relevant experience. Source your information: Cite credible sources to back up your claims. Write with a user-centric approach: Focus on providing practical, actionable advice. Consider user experience: Create clear, concise, and well-structured content. Incorporate personal anecdotes (for YMYL topics): Share your own experiences to add authenticity and depth. By demonstrating E-E-A-T, you can increase your content's visibility and establish yourself as a trusted thought leader in your field. What are your thoughts on the importance of experience in content creation? Share your insights in the comments! #SEO #ContentMarketing #Google #EEAT #ContentCreation #ExperienceMatters

But what is "unhelpful content"? On Tuesday (5th March) this week, Google released extensive core updates to its algorithm. These updates will siginicantly impact the search results they deliver. In their words: “We believe these updates will reduce the amount of low-quality content in Search and send more traffic to helpful and high-quality sites. Based on our evaluations, we expect that the combination of this update and our previous efforts will collectively reduce low-quality, unoriginal content in search results by 40%.” It is a complex update, with the rollout likely to take around a month. What does this mean for you and your website? First, let's define 'unhelpful (low quality) content'. Unhelpful content is content that's generally written *for search engine rankings* and not for a human audience. Google's algorithms are highly sophisticated. If you use AI to churn out UNORIGINAL content for your website, without adding the 'human' element your website will probably get hit by this update, and you will see your traffic drop. If on the other hand, you share quality, well written ORIGINAL content that is consistently on topic, and ideal for your audience, you may see an increase in your website traffic. Note though, it usually takes a few weeks to 'settle down' so your traffic may fluctuate as a result. #googleranking #googleupdate #seo #websitetraffic

️Optimizing website content for targeted keywords isn't rocket science. It's an art. It's a dance between words and algorithms. First, drop the obsession with keyword density. Google's smarter than that. It's 2021, not 2005. Obsess about relevance instead. Here's the secret sauce: 1️⃣ Understand your audience, their needs, their language. 2️⃣ Write for humans first, search engines second. 3️⃣ Integrate long-tail keywords naturally, they're your best friend. Optimize, but don't suffocate your content with keywords. Let it breathe. Remember, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Happy optimizing!
