DAY 11✨ It months ago I’ve designed these posts for one of my client as sample I’ve designed these and provided him after 6-7 revisions, it was my fault that I act so nice to everyone (I provided these to him) After that, he has gone and didn’t response me anymore So, it’s a friendly suggestion to all designers (like me), you’ve value, do avoid to provide your designs to anyone until you’ve some confirmation about that. By The Way👇🏻 How’s these?? Do the comment below

Lots of designers’ portfolios look bad You can improve yours with this one tip: Share the version of the work that YOU think is the best. Not the final work the client signed off. See, sometimes clients ask you to: → make a “logo bigger” → make it “pop” → change the design to dark mode And they have a right to make these requests. BUT.. Your portfolio is a representation of YOU. Not of the clients you work with. So make sure that your work reflects you in the manner you want. (P.S Not every client is the same. The best ones trust you as the expert)

The most asked question from me is "𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑻𝑶 𝑩𝑬 𝑪𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑽𝑬?" Let me reveal this secret of mine 😂 𝑪𝑶𝑷𝒀 𝑷𝑨𝑺𝑻𝑬 → Yeah Recreate some good Designs as they are, but don't Upload in your portfolio because they are not your designs , its just a Practice and it Will Improve your Sense a Lot. 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑬𝑿𝑷𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑮 → Explore the Designs on different Plat forms and and Decode the designs in your Mind, so your mind can save the Information and again sue it. 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑶𝑩𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑵𝑮 → Now Observe the designs, find the reasons why are these so good, note down the points and then Implement in your Designs. 𝑩𝑬 𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑺𝑰𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑵𝑻 → At the End I would say just be consistent whatever you do because without consistency you cant achieve it. I see so many talented designers with impressive resumes, but their portfolios often fall short. Your portfolio is your chance to stand out and make a lasting impression. Here are five key things to consider when building yours: - Show a Variety of Projects: Include different types of work to highlight your skillset - Quality Over Quantity: Focus on showcasing your best work. A few outstanding projects are better than a bunch of average ones. - Tell the Story Behind Each Project: Share your design process, the challenges you faced, and how you overcame them. It adds depth and shows your problem-solving skills. - Make It User-Friendly: Keep your portfolio clean and easy to navigate. A simple, intuitive layout please! (hate clicking through multiple pages to get to a project) Your portfolio is a reflection of you so make it count! #DesignerTips #PortfolioPerfection #StandOutDesign #CreativePortfolio #DesignProcess #QualityOverQuantity #ShowYourWork #UserFriendlyDesign #MakeItCount #DesignInspiration

The Most Overlooked Design Mistake: Spelling Been there—too focused on the visuals, missed a typo. Someone always calls it out. You’re caught with your pants around your ankles. • It distracts from your creative story. • It raises doubts—what else have you missed? • It could’ve been avoided. Mistakes happen. Measure twice, cut once. A quick double-check would’ve saved me. If you found this insightful, please share it with your network. I’m the owner of The Structure of Magic design consultancy. We help technical brands create innovative products using our digi-physical design system.

I missed a detail from my client and it ruined the whole design I was working on. The client didn't like it From the previous designs we've worked on before, I raised a standard for myself and my client now expects better every time. This is what naturally happens when you get good as a designer. Added to the details I missed, the client rejected the design because to them, it looked too basic. There's a level you get that mistakes are not welcomed again. Even the best of your designs can be rejected if they're not functional. If they don't convert, they're useless These things keep me humble every time. I spend a lot of time analyzing the details and asking questions from my clients. This is how you get the right information from your clients. This is how you also create a positive impression. This is the only way to make them speak their minds. Not all clients know exactly what they want. We'll meet all of them along the line. It's important to pay attention to hear them speak. PS: Is there an instance of your designs getting rejected? __________________ Hit the follow button ✅ Repost for others to learn

𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆! 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: Good Design can be created quickly... 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: The truth is any good design will not happen quickly do to the need for research, idea creation and reviewing. It might seem that good design can be done quickly because a good designer can probably do it in a fraction of time to what you can - However those skills do not come in short periods of time! The reality is most designs come from hours of research, putting thoughts and ideas onto paper, followed by the reviewing process and file preparation. Not to mention the years of perfecting the skills of colour theory, composition and problem solving to name few...
