What are you feeding your mind these days?
I’m learning to put the mind’s constant chatter on low in the background and let it be. You’re so right MJ that we’re taught to zero in on what it’s saying and how we’re feeling. But, we feel according to what it’s saying - when we listen to it and give it credibility. But, it’s just conditioned, programmed crap — not ours. Not us. Like chatter in a restaurant that you tune out so you can hear your friend.
I agree, and will add that we need to make sure we choose our thoughts and not be at their mercy.
Obsessed with the line that I poop therefore I am. 😆 But absolutely love the sentiment about choosing what to put into your brain. I'd rather embrace gratitude than negactivity for example and let that shine through in me.
Good morning! Happy Friday to you. This was wonderful and very timely. I listened to a couple of times and I will pass this forward to all of my team. During very difficult moments where you feel the stress rising I have told myself to pause and redirect and you are on point, the results are 100% a correlation to my mindset at the moment enabling me to see solution vs defeat.
All about putting ourselves back in the driver seat and being intentional about what we consume (in all the ways we ingest!!)
Margaret Jennings This is actually a good thing to point out. I believe it's important to be mindful of our decisions and actions when we are full of emotions. This can lead to extreme results!!
