Up-skilling 1M people into climate | Founder | Last exit at $750M | I break down climate solutions so 5th graders understand them

Fast Company just interviewed a Climate Driftie 😱 And shared our Climate Career playbook… On how we’re moving leadership talent into the climate economy 💪 (often before jobs are posted or announced). 4 simple steps for you to remember: 1️⃣ Find your Climate niche Climate is huge. If you don’t focus. You can’t win. (excellent solutions map with 220+ sub sectors on the Climate Drift website) 2️⃣ Dive Deep You need to understand your niche from the perspective of somebody working in that space. → What are the challenges of the sector today and tomorrow? → What prevents companies from reaching milestones? → What need do the people working on this have? 3️⃣ Show how you can bring Value Being passionate about climate isn’t enough. Connect how your past experience can help remove a company’s obstacle today. Showcase your transferable skills and apply them directly to your target niche. 4️⃣ Start sharing what you’ve learned Your fresh perspective is appreciated and often times very valuable. So many talented people underestimate what they can bring to the “climate” table. I think our Climate Driftie Barrett Olafson puts it best in the Fast Company Article: → “there are lots of folks out there that are stuck in jobs they don’t enjoy.” 👉 ”the grass is greener over [in Climate], and it is worth coming over.” (link to the full post in first comment) Thank you Adele Peters for the feature and the great post 🙏 — PS. Want to transition your career into the Climate Economy? We built Climate Drift exactly for that: 👉 We help professionals find their first leadership role in climate through the Climate Drift Career Accelerator. 👉 We help people wanting to break into climate through our FREE e-mail learning courses. 👉 We share a lot of free knowledge and climate sub sectors deep dives in our newsletter. Well deserved exposure for Climate Drift and the work that Marco Morawec and Skander Garroum are doing. One the strengths of Climate Drift is in the community it is building and Barrett Olafson is a great example of that!
