Now, AI is driving a whole new level of intelligence. 1️⃣ 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Imagine ERP that sees problems before they happen and forecasts demand in real time. 2️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Data silos vanish. Finance, operations, and supply chain teams all make decisions together, faster. 3️⃣ 𝐀𝐈-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Systems adjust on the fly, reducing errors and freeing up people to innovate. ⚠️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 However, integrating AI into ERP is rarely smooth. I’ve seen integration struggles arise - often because different teams (business, IT, data, and AI) work in silos. Misaligned priorities and fragmented data foundations slow progress and dilute impact. 🛠️ 𝟑 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 1️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Bring ERP, AI, and business teams together under a unified vision. Integration isn’t just technical, it’s organizational. 2️⃣ 𝐆𝐨 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Challenge your teams to think bigger. Use AI not only to automate but to predict, optimize, and innovate across the business. 3️⃣ 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞: AI can only be as smart as the data it processes. Clean, integrated, and real-time data must be a top priority. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 In a world of constant disruption, businesses that modernize their core systems with AI don’t just run 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 - they run 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫. They turn data into decisions, complexity into clarity, and innovation into competitive advantage. At Deloitte, we’re helping organizations redesign their ERP foundations with 𝐀𝐈-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬, ensuring systems are intelligent, connected, and future-ready. This is such a powerful breakdown of how AI can elevate ERP systems beyond efficiency toward true business intelligence. The shift from 'speeding up processes' to enabling predictive insights and integrated decision-making is a game changer. I believe that while efficiency is still essential, it’s no longer enough in today’s rapidly changing world. The real advantage comes from systems that anticipate business needs, not just react to them. 💡
Great insights! AI is truly transforming the way businesses approach ERP, making systems smarter and more connected. The emphasis on collaboration and clean data is key to unlocking AI's full potential. Let’s rethink our ERP strategies and embrace the future! 🚀
I tried and failed recently to explain the concepts like Ontology and Semantic Knowledge at work with regard to mordenizing our data pipelines. I’ll get anather stab at it soon, but data organized through its relationships with other data points within a business context is a good start. ERP guys mostly promote modules and processes within clear boundaries, so it would be interesting to see how they approach more data centric methods which seek to find relationships across boundaries
Your perspective on intelligent ERP resonates deeply, Marc. The shift from process control to predictive insights and integrated decision-making is indeed transformative, but as you highlight, the cultural and organizational alignment is equally critical. It's inspiring to see leaders like you driving actionable strategies for AI integration and system modernization. At this moment i would like to invite you to connect with me (if you have not done so!!), explore my posts and share your valuable thoughts over there too. Wishing you a wonderful day!
Very informative
