Hi everyone, I'm Olivia, Operations and Marketing Manager here at Matalan and here are my 5 tips for preparing for the Christmas break. Number one is to prioritise any tasks, any tasks that can't wait for the new year. Get them ticked off, prioritized so they're not on your mind over the Christmas break. And also delegate tasks to your team that you know they're capable of #2 is one that I always forget and it's to set and effective out of office e-mail this should have. The date that you finish it up, the date that you're back in the office on what to do in case of any emergencies #3 is tying up loose ends. So review ongoing projects and see what parts of it need finishing up before the new year. Even just as simple as getting back to emails that you've maybe like, forgot about or flagged. And also a big one for me is clear my office space, my desk, my drawers. Someone coming in for a fresh environment in the new year #4 is to create a. When you're able To Do List which includes tasks that need picking up straight away when you come back in January. This prevents you from feeling totally overwhelmed when you come back from the Christmas break #5 is to plan your first month calendar the whole month. So for me personally, I plan my whole January month so again, I'm not feeling totally overwhelmed coming back into the office in January. I do things such as set my reoccurring reminders, set new reminders. Any meetings that I've got everything in my diary so I know the first month when I come back exactly what's going on. Hope this helps and have a lovely Christmas.
