Great insight from the man known as Le cost killer Carlos Ghosn . This is the man who put Nissan back on track on 2000s with Renault and Mitsubishi. I tried to interview him in Lebanon many years ago after his audacious escape from Japan,, that never came to pass. Today an exclusive and candid conversation about the structure of the Honda Nissan deal opportunity. #Nissan today are in “full panic Mode”
The Boss has spoken 👌
This guy is an outlaw, a fugitive … hidden and protected in Lebanon … no moral compass to interview him, and even worst crediting him by asking his feedback :) just for making buzz … and another Netflix série :)
He is looking tired and stressed. A sad human being.
It's actually quite shameful to interview him considering his situation, flying from the justice of a country because he didn't want to face the consequences of his actions. There is a thing called ethics, and it is not a great ethical move to "casually" interview someone in his position to get a comment on a company he left years ago.
A fugitive from the Japanese courts and wanted by the interpol, fled Japan in a box. https://apnews.com/article/politics-arrests-beirut-law-enforcement-agencies-835db06e131025e0ea70a797aeb55c2a
Nobody in Japan wants to see him again outside of the jail.
How do you translate in Japanese “thinking out of the box”, more specifically a music instrument box ? 😜
While Carlos Ghosn's management approach—centered on cost-cutting and resource optimization—sparked diverse opinions universally, his impact on the automotive industry is undeniable. He remains the only CEO who successfully resurrected Nissan, a brand teetering on the brink of bankruptcy and irrelevance, and restored it to global prominence. Regardless of the criticisms, this remarkable turnaround solidifies his legacy as a transformative leader in the industry.

2dIn a parallel universe if he were parachuted into Nissan tomorrow you'd not bet against him turning it around
